I dont know what colors to use for my wedding! :scared:
How did you pick your wedding colors? I have been thinkning about maybe Pink, blue and a little green, but I have no clue how to incorperate it all together and make centerpieces and all that.

Hi I would suggest you decide on the feel you want your wedding to have.

Fun, formal, romantic. Like that. Then think about the time of year you are getting married. That would help incorporate colors too. Also have you picked a wedding party? Maybe they could help with colors of dresses and that would help.

Are you doing a theme? Like Cinderella or Mickey? All that can help with colors.

my dress is pink so i just thought pink was my colour and then what goes with it, i thought chocolate but df didnt want that then I came up with silver and they go well together so thats our colours

I know exactly where your comming from! I only picked my colors last week; Navy blue, pink, and white. I knew I wanted Pink roses as my bouquet and the more i've looked at things for my wedding [Disney themed with emphasis on the castle] most of the items are white [cake topper, cake serving set etc] I didn't want an entirely pink/white wedding and knew I needed another color but I didn't know what! I went and picked up some paper to make my confetti with [for reception tables] and ended up getting red to go with the pink/white. When I got home and thought about it more I realized I didn't like that idea because I didn't want a Valentines-ish wedding! My wonderful DF brought up the idea of maybe using a masculine color and he suggested baby blue. I told him that would end up looking too baby-showerish and he suggested using a darker blue. I liked Navy the best or midnight blue as some people call it and realized the background of the invites I want to use are Navy colored.....so there ya go thats how it stuck.

I'm going to have my BM wear a Navy Blue dress, with pink/white flowers. My DF and his BM will be wearing black tuxes with possibly navy vests/bow ties and their bouts will be white/pink...haven't decided which yet;) As for the reception the table cloths will be white with Navy napkins and a navy sash tied around the chairs. The centerpieces [idea so far] will be shallow glass bowls with navy marbles in the bottom and pink/white flowers sticking out of the marbles. The Confetti will be scattered on the reception tables and guest book tables and will be navy/pink/white and will be castles/tink/ and mickey ears.

Colors have a way of "falling into place" or so i'm told. I stressed on it a lot but i'm pretty sure this color scheme I have now will look lovely. Good Luck!:wizard:

I agree with that statement!

I really didn't select a color theme at all for my wedding. I only wanted it to be light and casual. I wanted a mix of bright, cheerful, summery colors in my bouquet and I made a headpiece to match. As it turned out, I ordered custom M&M's for favors and was lucky enough to get a bright summery mix of those too (turquoise, lime green, yellow, bright pink) so it ended up being just perfect for me.

With the idea you have, you can select pink and blue flowers and let the green of the leaves tie them together...that idea could work for centerpieces too. Select pink and blue fabrics/candles/glass beads (whatever) and infuse some greenery (ferns, etc.) into the design.

Good luck!!

I didn't really pick colors for my wedding either...any time someone would ask me what my colors were...I'd say, "Fall colors...ALL of the Fall colors!" And things fell into place from there!

yeah im not sure. I am getting married May 19 at Seabreeze Point so I need more spring/summery colors.

I was in the same position a couple months ago--I was just going to do everything white/creams and 'natural' tones because I couldn't decided. BUT--I found that when you look through magazines, and look at sample table settings, etc. you will get inspired with something you love. Now, my colors are celadon green (olive) and pink sorbet(tiny bit) with white and gold. Our 'theme' is white roses and bamboo for various reasons. You will come up with something wondeful but ti takes time.

I decided our colors based on when we were getting married. Since its going to be in December, I couldn't do the spring-y pinks and greens I wanted. But I also didn't want red and green. (way too christmas-y) Finally I decided on ice blue (the color of Cinderella's dress) and white. That way it still fits in with winter AND Disney! :)

When my MOH (the only one in my bridal "party" except DF's Best Man) picks out which dress style and color she loves, then that will be one of the colors I go with. There isn't much significance in August! End of summer, not really fall yet. I am not picky.

I have 2 months more than you to decide though, and having an intimate wedding, so I'm not doing centerpieces or a lot of floral in general.

So far my MOH and I like purple/lavendar and a kind of geranium color we've seen.

I think that your first pick of pink, blue, and green would look really nice for spring/summer. :cutie: I think that a fushia pink, with lime green, and light blue would look great! Or you could go pastel with those colors and that would look really good too!

I'm doing fushia pink, orange and yellow only because I saw some flowers with those colours put together and fell in love with them. I haven't totally decided yet. All I know is the my bridal party dresses will be fushia pink or as I like to call it Piglet pink.

I don't really have colors...per se...I mean, my dress has a wine trim so we coordinated the rest of the wedding party attire and floral around that but that's really it...

I haven't picked out my colors either! I feel like it's kind of a staple for moving forward in planning a wedding. I originally wanted a deep purple, but then I thought that the table cloths, ribbons, etc. may look black for the reception...not good. So, the search continues. Now I'm thinking more greens since his last name is Irish, and the right shade can be a great color for fall.

I never realized picking colors would be so difficult! I had been adamant that my colors would be emerald green and white, it's been my favorite color since i was little, it's my late grandmothers birthstone, i loved it so much that even when I graduated High School, and everyone else had their parties decorated in blue/orange, our school colors, mine was hunter green and white! Then i decided to have a June wedding... ooh, hmm, that didn't seem right. Then conveniently, David's Bridal discontinued the dress I wanted in emerald, well, that helped make the decision! Additionally, we wanted a tropical theme, not over the top, but enough for people to realize it was a theme, so we eventually decided on a pretty tropical blue, and we are probably going to have birds of paradise (orange) and orchids (hmm that high school orange/blue finally got me...)! So it seems sometimes even when you go into the planning 100% sure of what you want, your mind changes anyway :confused3 so when you see the right color, or find a dress/bridesmaid dress that you LOVE, you'll be able to tell what color suits you and your wedding, have fun with it!

Colors for us we kind of a no-brainer. We wanted something bright b/c it was a summer wedding and we met at Clemson University where we went to undergrad and bright orange is everywhere! I wanted to incorporate a color that meant something to us. I didn't like the idea of my girls wearing bright orange though, so we bought their dresses in peach. So peach and orange it was :)
