I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

Wow, that was a lot of pictures! Looks like a great night at the MK! That is cool you got to see the Kiss Goodnight. I saw a video of it and got a little misty-eyed. :rolleyes1 So cute.

Great pins!
Thank you!

It was a great night!

You need to see it in person! If you got misty watching a video of it you would definitely enjoy it in person!

Thank you!

What a fun night at MK! And a great DIS meet! Yay for your Fastpasses and Space! Even though it's indoors, I love riding it so much more at night for some reason.

Good for you for sticking around till 2! I would do the same thing. :thumbsup2

You hit some great rides! I love POTC during EMH, it's ALWAYS a walk-on! :)

Yayy Splash Mountain my fave. :lovestruc That is THE best ride to go on at night, IMO. So fun.

Philharmagic is SUCH a great way to end the night. Good choice.

Your trip is getting so close! :yay:
Our DISmeet was a lot of fun!

Yeah I thought why not?! Might as well make the most of the time :goodvibes

Every ride at MK is great! I had a hard time choosing what to do

Splash is definitely way better at night!

I loved ending the day with Philharmagic especially since we hadn't seen it yet!

I am so excited!

Looks like another awesome fun day!
Are EMH crowded at night in MK? (we only managed to make it to dhs when we were there for them)

I loooove that pic of the Walt & Mickey statue from behind looking down Main St!:thumbsup2
It was!

Not at all! At the beginning there was a bit of a wait but only in Tomorrowland. I didn't run in to any crowds while I was there except for Space Mountain :thumbsup2

Thank you!

Wow what a great update!! How cool that you got to ride so many things by doing emh. Next time we go will probably be in a year and a half or two (:scared1:) so my 12 yr old will be older then and hopefully can hang in longer. lol
I have to google the Kiss Goodnight! Sounds awesome!

I never noticed they didn't have Vanilla Coke anywhere at WDW, but I have to tell you, yesterday I got a fountain Coke at Speedway and they have vanilla that you can shoot into the cup, OMG it was heaven. So go make some at Speedway, and let me know if you like it. Yummm I want some now.

Why will Casey's be closed? A re-furb? (and if that's why, in the summer??? Nuts!!)

It was awesome! I definitely got lucky with the lack of crowds that night!

You definitely need to see it! It is such a great way to end a Disney day!

That's how they have it at Disney and I love it! I have had Sonic's but it doesn't taste exactly the same I think the Disney magic adds to the taste :wizard::laughing:

I think it is a refurb and I think the end of August tends to be a down time for them :confused3

Holy picture update! :worship: The question is, "What didn't you take a picture of?????"

Good for you for holding on to that camera during splash and I like that your non flash pictures of pirates and HM actually turned out. There's some really interesting pics in this update, but I am just too tired to cut and past them.

Fun! Thanks!

I tend to get pretty picture happy

Just wait until we get back from this trip now that I am using our better camera there will be even more pics

Thank you! I didn't even remember having my camera out for that long on Splash

Echoing PP. Yup, there's a few pics there! :rotfl: I noticed it looks like you managed to capture the moon in your first pic of Casey's Corner. At least it looks like it to me? Loved the pic of Madame Leota! Can't wait for the next update! :goodvibes

Yeah I got a bit addicted to taking pictures this trip

Hm I hadn't even noticed  I usually take a picture then later I am like oh wow that looked really good

Thank you!

Should be coming soon!

When Dale woke up it was time to head to DHS. On the way there Dale told us that the CM who he had dealt with at Disney Quest had felt bad we missed our Fantasmic Pkg so he had signed us up for the VIP Fantasmic seating and all we had to do was checkin at Guest Service. How cool is that?!

As soon as we got to DHS

I'm so glad to hear the ticket ordeal and Fantasmic got worked out! And what a fun time you guys had that night! LOVE the pic of you girls in front of DHS, it's completely adorable!

And rock on Dawn! :thumbsup2 What a fun moment!

disneyday4366.jpg

The Castle changed colors and a voice came over the speakers talking about how this is the place where dreams come true and we hope your dreams came true today :cloud9: I seriously got choked up and almost started crying :lovestruc I love Disney and this was the perfect way to end the day! I had lost some of the magic with all of the ticket issues but after seeing that it all rushed back to me:hug:

This pic and your words gave me goosebumps!! :cloud9:

It was definitely a fun memory!

Thank you! That was a very magical night :cloud9:

Dawn-

Had to let you know. A couple of weeks ago I had posted regarding your Star Wars pics and you had let me know about the sign up sheet for the Jedi training. (Last time we visited in 8/08, my boys tried their best to get picked with no luck) So, on the Disney website I found out they still fit the age requirement which is 12, they are 11. They both told me that they could not do it because they would probably injure the Jedi trainers.

Hi Girls!!

Great updates....I love the different images you captured! I have to get better at that, I always seem to take the same pics...but not this year!! I'm going to take my time and see what I can come up with!!

My goal this trip also is to take more pictures.

Caitlin - I really liked the picture taken through the Mickey cutout.

Loved your MK EMH update! I wish I could find energy to stay at MK that late some day. Maybe I should try not scheduling an early breakfast ADR the next morning :lmao: Looks like the park is empty. I absolutely adore that photo you took of the back of the Partners statue facing Main street. I wonder how it would look in daylight.

I am never a night owl at home but when I am at Disney I love staying up late

It was empty! I loved being able to walk onto whatever ride I wanted!

Thank you! I will have to take a picture of it during the day when we are there in 20 days!!

I hope you had a great trip btw :goodvibes

How cute :rotfl:

I just now realised that you're less than 3 weeks from your next trip and nobody's choked once yet! :goodvibes

I know we are so behind! It is coming up on the day we need to start writing about. Once my mom gets around to starting that day :rolleyes1

Hey! Howdy! Hey! Well we are down to less than 3 weeks until our next WDW visit  and we're in that pre-Disney mode. You know that time where you're super excited, thinking of anything you might need to buy and at our house it also means Disney film festival time. Over the last few days we've watched Tangled, Hercules, Bambi and Monsters Inc. We're waiting for Dale to get a night off so we can watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks which is his childhood favorite :) Both yesterday and today we got Mickey Mail :mickeyjum Yesterday our ME documents (we forgot to cancel the ME after we rented a car) and our "package" stuff. Today our Military tickets arrived. They are all red, white and blue and very cute :)

That's the latest from home.....now on with the story.....

We are now up to Tuesday, May 10. Our plan for the day was to have breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge, spend the morning and early afternoon at Blizzard Beach and then spend the evening at Epcot. Yep, another busy day :thumbsup2

This was supposed to be a day where we slept in a little since our breakfast wasn't until 9:00. Key word supposed. I can't ever seem to sleep in so I was up at 6, as was my fitness crazed daughter who still hit the gym by 6:30. Yes, she stayed at the MK until 2 and still went to the gym at 6:30 :rolleyes1

Around 8:30 we called for a cab (I know we could have taken a bus to MK and then the boat to WL but I am all about cabs for breakfast adrs. Why make the trek there any longer than necessary?) We arrived at Whispering Canyon before 9 and I checked in.
disneyday5010.jpg

The "hostess" had a bit of an attitude and gave me a buzzer and told us to go wait. I bet you can guess how Caitlin amused herself while we waited.

Yep! If you guessed she took pictures YOU'RE RIGHT!!

disneyday5012.jpg

disneyday5015.jpg

disneyday5016.jpg

As we waited I began to notice that people who arrived after us were being seated. After a half an hour I went to ask why we hadn't been seated. It wasn't as if the restaurant was even busy  The grumpy hostess gave me some excuse and told me to be patient. I went back to my seat and after another 10minutes went back and this time spoke to someone else. Wouldn't ya know it they sat us immediately!

Once we were seated we all knew we wanted the skillet so we placed our order as soon as the waitress arrived. Just our luck she wasn't really into the theming.

Our breakfast was delicious though! By the time our food arrived we were so hungry we dove right in and forgot the obligatory picture. Here is a pic once we remembered. Just imagine the platter is full...
disneyday5017.jpg

Our waitress was very slow and unattentive but the waiter at the next table was really in character and I think he felt bad for us because he included us in his tables fun.

My plan had been to be at Blizzard Beach when it opened at 10 but at 10 we were still eating. It ended up being almost 11 by the time we finished eating, paid the bill and waited for a bus. Oh well the best laid plans....

Finally we arrived at BB!

disneyday5018.jpg

Dale and Caitlin hurried off to hit Summet Plummet. As a non-swimmer I did a lot of waiting around at BB. If you're thinking of a waterpark and your family includes the swimming-challenged TL is a better choice IMO.

After SP they hit the Toboggan Races.
disneyday5019.jpg

While they explored BB I soaked in the sun and the view from my chair
disneyday5025.jpg

disneyday5026.jpg

When they returned we all headed for the lazy river. The river wasn't exactly lazy though. It was very crowded and not at all relaxing.

After touring the lazy river we went back to our seats and grabbed a snack.
These little donuts were so yummy! I know the calories are probably outrageous but it was vacation so who cares?! ;)
disneyday5023.jpg

Around 2 we decided it was time to pack up and head back to SSR.

On our way toward the front we ran into this cute little family

disneyday5027.jpg

disneyday5028.jpg

disneyday5029.jpg

I loved how the snowmen were "dripping" water as if they were melting. All the buildings did this too which is a cool touch.

Before we left the park we just had to stop in the gift shop. We weren't the only ones who had to stop in though....look at what happened to some poor guy before we got there.
disneyday5030.jpg

The shop actually had a lot of cute things and Caitlin ended up buying a Billabong dress that was on sale.

Here is a pic of it
disneyday7536.jpg

By the time we got back to SSR it was 3:30. Can you believe between stopping in the store and then waiting for a bus it took an hour and a half? I was completely behind schedule and wanted everyone to get changed so we could head off to Epcot. We had things to see and places to eat!

After we were all cleaned up Caitlin asked me for her camera. I didn't have her camera  And she didn't have her camera........

I'll let her tell you about what happened next...next time ;)

I LOVE the pre-disney days :) That's so fun that you have been watching all of the movies... they really just get you in the mood!
Ugh I'm sorry about Whispering Canyon! That's just terrible! The CM's really make or break the experience!
Blizzard Beach sounds like it was fun! I LOVE those snowmen!! They're too cute, especially button:cutie:
OH NO... the suspense!!!

We're watching a lot of movies to get ready for our trip as well. Jess and I watched The Little Mermaid II, Ariel's Beginning, Lilo & Stitch, and the Princess and the Frog. Today I watched Lady and the Tramp with my sister. We're so excited.

Sorry about the waitress at WCC, but at least your breakfast was good!

I love Blizzard Beach, it's so fun! And that's a really cute dress!

Oh boy...more camera drama. :scared1:

I've always wanted to close out MK at 2 in the morning for the late extra magic hours! I'm so jealous.
Was it a blast having the park basically to yourself?

And the water park looked fun - we'll have to try one as soon as the kids get a bit older...

Yes they do :)

Thanks. The waitstaff at any restaurant play such a big role on how your experience is but especially at places like the 50's and WCC.

We have to add a little suspense
