I didn't think it was abig deal, you only choked once!! Update 9/18 final thoughts

We're watching a lot of movies to get ready for our trip as well. Jess and I watched The Little Mermaid II, Ariel's Beginning, Lilo & Stitch, and the Princess and the Frog. Today I watched Lady and the Tramp with my sister. We're so excited.

Sorry about the waitress at WCC, but at least your breakfast was good!

I love Blizzard Beach, it's so fun! And that's a really cute dress!

Oh boy...more camera drama. :scared1:

Sounds like you're having a lot of movie fun too :)

Thanks. The dress is cute and Caitlin has gotten a lot of wear out of it :)

I've always wanted to close out MK at 2 in the morning for the late extra magic hours! I'm so jealous.
Was it a blast having the park basically to yourself?

And the water park looked fun - we'll have to try one as soon as the kids get a bit older...

Caitlin loved closing the park and is really bummed there aren't late hours on our trip this month.

It's a good choice to wait until the kids are older. Those waterparks are so big I imagine a lot of kiddos get lost.

I so want to try Disney water parks... But I feel that DS 7 is bit young and I don't like that he could be separated from us b/c of single rides. Hopefully in few years, we could try.... mean while I think BC Stormalong Bay is perfect since it is big but not as water park big to keep watch on DS. ;)
Hopefully, you didn't loose the camera! I

I completely understand. I think the waterparks are great for when kids are old enough to explore.

I would pick Stormalong Bay over either of the waterparks :thumbsup2 That pool is the best and you can't beat the view/atmosphere!

I didn't lose the camera but as for my daughter, well that's another story :rolleyes1

Please don't tell me you had to go back to BB to find the camera. Yikes! It seems like your day was just one hold up after another. Ugh to the 40 minute wait for breakfast. That's ridiculous. BB looks like it was a lot of fun. I think I could go for a few water park rides myself. But ugh to the 1 1/2 hour ride back to SSR.

congrats for 3 weeks!!!!! :cool1:

Everything we did that day seemed to take forever

As for the camera being back at BB :rolleyes1

What was with the attitude of the hostess at WCC...that makes me crazy:scared1: That's ridiculous that you had to wait that long....I love how you take a cab for your breakfast ADR...we'll be taking one the morning we meet you guys now...then we don't have to get up so early:worship: Thanks for the tip!!!

We like BB well enough, but we prefer TL...I just find it a little more relaxed. Ok...not gonna lie to you...my stomach flip flopped with this whole camera thing....

We're waiting for Dale to get a night off so we can watch Bedknobs and Broomsticks which is his childhood favorite :)

Me too... well maybe Mary Poppins... but it's a close second! :goodvibes

I can't ever seem to sleep in so I was up at 6, as was my fitness crazed daughter who still hit the gym by 6:30. Yes, she stayed at the MK until 2 and still went to the gym at 6:30 :rolleyes1

4 hours sleep? That's crazy! That's as bad as, well... me. (Okay, it is Disney after all, we'll forgive her. ::yes::)

We arrived at Whispering Canyon before 9 and I checked in...I bet you can guess how Caitlin amused herself while we waited.

Yep! If you guessed she took pictures YOU'RE RIGHT!!

Take as many as you want. I love Wilderness Lodge. Some day... Some day...

As we waited I began to notice that people who arrived after us were being seated. After a half an hour I went to ask why we hadn't been seated. It wasn't as if the restaurant was even busy  The grumpy hostess gave me some excuse and told me to be patient. I went back to my seat and after another 10minutes went back and this time spoke to someone else. Wouldn't ya know it they sat us immediately!

Didja ever find out what was up with that? Similar thing happened to us too. Not as bad though.

By the time our food arrived we were so hungry we dove right in and forgot the obligatory picture.

:scared1: A picture that you forgot?!?!? Man the lifeboats! Women and children first! Unless said women have forgoten to take obligatory pictures, of course. :lmao:

Our waitress was very slow and unattentive but the waiter at the next table was really in character and I think he felt bad for us because he included us in his tables fun.

So what'd he do? Please tell me that you at least asked for ketchup?

After touring the lazy river we went back to our seats and grabbed a snack.
These little donuts were so yummy! I know the calories are probably outrageous but it was vacation so who cares?! ;)

Nope. Those are special Disney donuts. No calories. Really. :rolleyes1

I loved how the snowmen were "dripping" water as if they were melting. All the buildings did this too which is a cool touch.

Never knew that. That is pretty cool.

After we were all cleaned up Caitlin asked me for her camera. I didn't have her camera  And she didn't have her camera........

Nope, not gonna fall for that one. If you never found your camera, you wouldn't have all these pics. I am, however, curious to see where and how you found it again! Thanks for the update! :goodvibes

I have no idea what her deal was but it sure started our day off on the wrong foot.

You're welcome :) Our breakfast is 3 weeks from today :woohoo: We can't wait!

Dale and I both preferred TL. It's so pretty there and it is more relaxing.

Believe me, when we realized her camera was missing mine flipped too!

I love Mary Poppins! :lovestruc

That resort is so pretty! We'd like to stay there someday too :)

Not ketchup, jelly. Caitlin needed some for her biscuit and that lead to some fun :)

Good to know!

You're too smart for us! Since we have all her pics we did obviously find it, thanks to some Disney magic :goodvibes

Great update! Where will you all be staying on your next trip?

Was wondering what your thoughts are on All Star Sports and Pop Century. Which did you like better? Thinking of trying one out for a quick mother-daughter trip. Thanks!

Thank you :)
We will be staying at Pop Century later this month:)
Over the years we've stayed at All Star Movies, Sports and Pop Century. Our hands down favorite is Pop. IMO it is the cleanest, has the best service and the best food court. For a quick visit or a trip when you won't be using the various hotel amenities the values are the way to go :)

Thanks so much Dawn! I appreciate your response. Looks like Pop is sold out for September so we might be leaning towards Sports...we heard it's nicest of the All Stars. Do you agree? We are waiting for more discount codes to become available..like an AP discount.

You're welcome. We've never stayed at Music but I have heard good things about it.

We did prefer Sports to Movies. I also think it depends on the ages in your family. Movies tends to have families with a lot of little ones and at Sports it was more teens and young adults.

I hope you get the discount you're hoping for!

Too bad your server at Whispering Canyon wasn't the best, but that was nice of the other one to include you in the fun.

Oh no! Lost camera drama?

We did appreciate the other server letting us in on the fun. Disney does have some wonderful CMs!

Yes more camera drama :rolleyes1

Ok, so bit by bit, I am getting caught up on various TRs. I hope the lost camera is just a small blip and that you find it with Dale or something. I hope?

Those donut holes are sooooo good, aren't they? A perfect snack. I feel like I can justify all the food I eat at Disney because I do so much walking (and sweating in the summer) around the parks.

Okay, I need to start packing myself instead of wasting time on the Dis. By the way, you should post pics of your military tickets! I want to see the red white and blue ones!
