I have taken the plunge - I took my Cricut out of the box!!

I bought the machine a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $139. Then I went out and bought 4 cartridges, also all on sale. (Base Camp, Mini Monograms, Christmas Cheer and Disney Mickey and Friends) I put them all in the closet to think about it for awhile. I was really leaning towards investing in a Wishblade. Well I did think about it for a couple weeks and I've decided that I have a lot of projects that I need to be working on now and if I got the Wishblade that would require a lot of learning/playing around time. At this point I'd rather go with the out of the box ease of the Cricut. I may end up with a Wishblade down the line, but right now I can't resist the call of the bug.

I've used it before at my LSS but there was something different about using it in my own house - I love it!! I've only opened the Mini Monograms box, so I still have a lot of playing around to do. That Disney cartridge has been calling my name ever since I brought it home! I have a feeling I'm going to be wanting a lot of these cartridges. But my recent WDW trip ended up coming in under budget (!) so I have some "play money" and I'm going to have some fun.

So, I'm sorry, Buffy - I'm keeping it!

In honor of National Scrapbooking Day Bargainpack has the cartridges on sale for $50 through May 5. (Disney ones for $70). I'm trying to decide which one I want next. I want them all! And I haven't even opened all the boxes I have yet.

BTW - I fully blame all you enablers for this new addiction!

You are going to love it! I hem hawed about what I was going to buy and finally made the plunge and bought the cricut two weeks ago. I felt so guilty the whole way home, that is until I started playing with it! So easy to use. I just bought my 2nd cart, base camp, at Jo's with the 40% coupon someone posted. They didn't have a lot of selection so I hope I will like this one.

I have looked at AC Moore, Michaels and Joann's and haven't seen them. Has anyone had better luck?

I got my Disney cartridge at AC Moore. The one closest to me did not have them but the one 15 miles away did. They only had the Mickey and Friends one and they weren't on display, you had to ask for them.

Which AC Moores did you go to? I live in Dracut and have been to the one in Salem NH and Woburn and didn't see them....but I didn't ask either. I can't wait much longer to get ehm!

I got both of them -- Mickey & Friends and the Mickey font -- at AC Moore in Woburn a couple of weeks ago, when carts were on sale for 49.99 each. They weren't on display, so I asked the clerk who was ringing me up if she knew when they were due. She called the manager, and he brought up one of each and said that he "just unpacked them."

I'd call the store and ask about them.

Yep, I got mine in Woburn too when they were on sale. But the lady who helped me said they didn't have the Mickey font. Bummer!

I was in Disney(oK..on the cruise) when this sale occurred...I so want the Disney cartridges(but at the right price) I love how easy this machine is to use. I happened to win this machine at a crop I attended in February(I love it!)
