I am doing the happy dance  I put my first item on e-bay. I was so afraid I did something wrong, but the listing looks good, although my pictures are horrid. Oh well I'll get it right next time :rotfl: Thanks to everyone who has posted about selling on e-bay I have learned so much from you all. :goodvibes Disboard people are the best.

edit: I can spell I swear

You might want to go edit and add the size. Im sure you will get asked that.

Good Luck!

Congrats on posting your items!

If you don't mind some advice, you may want to go in and edit your title to include the size. Many people don't search descriptions, just titles, and if they are typing in a particular size, your item won't come up.

Also-I've never heard of that brand name so I probably wouldn't click on the auction since there is no description. Perhaps you could list it as:
"Size 6 Laura Henson Grey Plaid Jacket Skirt Set LN"

Just my .02!

Good luck!

Oh wow, thanks I never thought of putting the size in the title. Thank you. I will fix it

So much to remember
Now if I could convince the camera to take one good picture today.

You may want to also consider putting brand name (if any) in the title, color, and any descriptive words that may bring more attention. When people search for stuff they might put in "pink dress".

some more advise if you dont mind:
from auction ending soonest down

auction 1. in the title add NWOT (meaning New With Out Tags) might want to consider the shipping. you can ship it for $7.70 PRIORITY MAIL in the flat rate box. Parcel post may turn some people off. Also, not sure how well heavy jackets are selling right now, this would be better in the early fall, especially at the price it is listed

auction 2. Add lots of measurements. waist, length of skirt. on the jacket, length from collar down & possibly measurements acorss the back from armpit to armpit. Add the word SPRING to the auction title

auction 3. possibly title to the auction:
LIZ CLAIBORNE NWOT Jacket and slack pant Suit sz 6
add lots of measurements, just like in auction 2 + add inseam measurement on the pants

auction 4. possible title to auction
LOT of 4 SMOCKED dresses Girls sz 4 & add name brands if there are any popular or boutique ones. (smocked is a POPULAR search term for girls dresses according to the CCB discussion forum on ebay). Also, each dress needs measurements, especially LENGTH

auction 5. same as auction 4, add SMOCKED in the title (all 6 dresses from auction 4 & 5 look smocked to me but I could definately be wrong) maybe add 'PARTY' dress. the pink one with flowers is pretty, perfect for any dressy occasion.

for both auction 4 & 5 maybe something in the title SPECIAL OCCASION Dresses.

Consider the shipping fees on all your auctions, each auction there could be shipped in the Priority Mail Flat Rate box for $7.70 & it will get to your auction winners in only 2-3 days as opposed to sometimes 2 weeks for Parcel Post. This would make your buyers much happier & makes you likely for better feedback. People HATE slow shipping. The auction with only 2 dresses could possibly be shipped in a regular priority box for maybe even lower than $7.70.

you want to add something to grab the person's attention with the title, especially since you did not list any gallery pics.

I'm still new to selling on ebay myself but hope some of the things I have learned along the way help you as they have helped me!

Good Luck!!!!!!! :cheer2:

The flat rate priority mail boxes for $7.70 are small. Not much will fit in them. I would definitely change from parcel post to priority mail. If the item weighs over 1 lb, then put up the shipping calculator so the buyer pays by their zone. I have been selling for 7 years so I have learned alot.

Also, if the item is New or New without tags, make sure to put that in the title.
