i demand numbers, snow storm related

here in southern VT were in a winter storm warning from midnight tonight until 6pm tomorrow. They are saying 9-13 on weather.com They seem to get it correct most of the time.

I can't wait, the girls will be at their dads, I can just lay on the couch and watch DVD's- went to the video store today to get a few I've been dying to see...

Love Vermont, Love the snow and Love the cold...I say- BRING IT!

I heard 2-3 and now DH just told me he heard 3-6.
DH is a volunteer FF and when it snows a good amount he works at the firehouse-standby in case of storms(our town only has 6 paid FF and they work 8-5 M-F so they need FF at the firehouse overnight during storms)..I haven't gotten any calls from the captain asking if DH wants to work tonight so I'm guessing it won't be too bad.

I read it could just be a few inches in our area (NJ/NY) but the POTENTIAL for a lot of snow remains.

Well, it's coming down here like cats and dogs (can you say that for snow too? :rotfl2: ) I'm in Northwest Indiana and it's coming down good and fast...too bad it's so damn cold...
How's looking for everyone else in the Chicagoland area??

Oh, pleeeeeeeeeeeeease, I hope you're right! :worried:
We are set to fly out of Newark for Orlando at 11:30AM tomorrow!

Our forecast is calling for 4 - 8 inches of snow . . .heavier snow in the northwest hills and less snow in the southeast part of Connecticut . . .

I still think they are guesstimating . . .but we'll see . . .I work at a high school and unfortunately it is a 12 month position meaning that we don't get days off unless we use our own time we are expected to be here even if school is cancelled . . . .so I found it really funny today when my office manager said "when you come in tomorrow, make sure you park on the east side of the building" . . .oh yeah like I'm going to come in if there is no school. :rotfl: The way I figure it is that if it is dangerous enough out that kids cannot attend school, then it surely is dangerous enough for me to physically drive there . . . :goodvibes

here's a update.

Tonight: Partly cloudy skies early followed by periods of snow showers late. Low 27F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of snow 60%. Snow accumulating 1 to 3 inches.

Tomorrow: Cloudy with rain and snow in the morning becoming lighter in the afternoon. High 37F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of precip 80%. Snowfall around one inch.

Glen Cove checking in here (wow, there are a lot of us from nassau county!) We were spared on tuesday, there was no snow here, but I don't think we're going to get that lucky this time....
