Hi,
Ever since I was very upset that The Princess & The Frog and Winnie The Pooh didn't do great at the box office, I thought TPATF is going to be successful, but it didn't do well at the box office. And then I started to get very obsessed for hoping Disney doing more hand drawn animated films, but in 2013, Bob Iger announced that there are no plans to do a hand drawn animated films at this time. And then later, it was announced that some hand drawn animators have been laid off and I was very upset about it and blame the executives for being greedy misers for killing hand drawn animation. I don't hate CGI animation, I just grew up with Disney doing hand drawn animated films, and yes I'm an 80's and 90's kid. But, after years of research of WDAS and I see that they have little of hand drawn animation, I decided to end my unhealthy obsession of hoping for Disney doing more hand drawn animated films. Sure, they did some things for hand drawn like Goofy's Stay At Home shorts, and they did some meander hybrid shorts like they did for Paperman and the recent Short film Far From The Tree, but I think Disney is going to stick with CGI animation. I was also hoping they'll use that meander hybrid animation for their future animated films, but I've heard they can't do that anymore and only using them for shorts. As for Tiana The Princess & The Frog tv series for Disney+, I was hoping they'll use hand drawn animation, but I have a bad feeling that it will most likely be used in CGI animation. I know Jennifer Lee says she's open for hand drawn animation, but I don't think it's a promise. So, I'm giving up hope for Disney doing more hand drawn animated films, because it's too time consuming and very expensive. I'm not doing this to be doom and gloom, I'm doing this to be realistic. I hope I'm wrong, but maybe I should just move on and get used to with Disney doing CGI films.
