I did a root touch up job on my hair the other day and when my DH got home I said "I dyed my hair today" and he said "i cant tell" but i suppose that was the right response. LOL.

Oh gosh! Men! Well I guess you did such a great job, that your roots looked like they were Naturally SUPPOSED to be that color!

Hey DISers! I'm Almost there! Next month will be ONE YEAR! Everything I've read said that the first year is the hardest, and that many give up within the first 4 months. So I'm glad that I've hung in there, and I can't wait for my Hair Bday!

This month, I haven't done anything new to my hair. I have noticed that my hair is abit drier since dying it. So I've been more liberal with moisterizers, and I've found a conditioner for colored hair.


Here are a few pics I took yesterday:

My friends NOTICE and like my new hair color. They all say that my hair is growing well! (YAY!) Before the month is out, I'm going to color it again with the same color to make it a bit deeper. After that, I'll give my hair a rest!

hey, i know this sounds crazy because you're not looking to get pregnant right now but i hear that prenatal vitamins make your hair and nails grow like crazy. i'm taking them (no, not pregnant but hopefully will be by the end of the summer) but i haven't really noticed a difference because my hair and nails grow like crazy anyway. just a thought.

I've heard that TOO! I was actually eyeing some in Walmart last week. Then I thought, just my luck, I'd grow a mustache and hair on my chest! HA!

My hair/nails grow fast too, but a friend of mine was growing her hair out for her wedding, and started taking prenatals. You could practically watch her hair grow, it was crazy! It might have to do with the specific vitamins...or it could just be that she was really deficient in her diet, I don't know. Might be worth a shot (though don't take the ones with iron unless you are actually iron deficient...not a good idea to overdo it with the iron).

Yours was one of the first trip reports or should I say "hair reports that I read all the way through. Which led to your trip reports! Hilarious! I must admit I have not read the latest. I am planning my trip now. I saw you on another thread and commented on how your dreds looked then. NOW!!! WOW! when you look at your first start to now it is Beautificous!!! It looks great! I have been successfully cutting my hair shorter and shorter. I always wore it long. I will be going in a less than a week to get it from a bob to a much shorter hair style. This is my 2nd attempt. I chickened out the first time. What can I say?

Wow! I'm surprised that more women arent taking them! Believe me, if I knew this a year a go, I would've been taking them!

Well Congrats! You're on your way! When you get a chance, do a search on youtube for "the big chop" or anything else you can think of, and you'll see LOTS of women cutting their hair. I guess since we associate long hair with being feminine, alot of us have been scared to go short. But now I guess what's considered as beautiful or feminine is changing! Thank Goodness! OH, other women who have cut their hair have said that they've gotten MORE attention from men. Well IT'S TRUE! I can't believe it!

When you do cut your hair, PLEASE post your before and after pics here! I'd love to see them!

Hello DISers! Here in Baltimore, Maryland we have a festival every year called Artscape. There's lots of food, art, music and jewelry. One booth catered to Locs! The woman working the booth spotted me and I bought a piece of hair jewelry from her. You'll see it below!

Also, (and I know this is off topic), but I FINALLY got the mole removed from my face. It was no big deal. They numbed the area, clipped it off, then lasered the area so it would heal. It didn't hurt at all. So if you got one you want gone, just go do it - no biggie! Here are some shots ...

See? There's barely a scar! I'm so happy!
