I couldn't take it - had to change our plans

We used our points, plus borrowed and got a 2bedroom at Vero last summer thinking my MIL would be joining us. Well at the last minute she backed out and we were left with a huge room the four of us didn't need. (I was not a happy camper).

This coming June (07) year we were planning on staying at OKW to balance out our points again so next the year (08) we would have our full points back to use.

Well.. I couldn't do it. Our home resort is VWL and we LOVE LOVE LOVE it there. Not going two years in a row was more than I was going to be able to handle. I talked to the family and we decided to go ahead and borrow more points so we could do 11 nights at VWL again this coming June.. then next June we will do the OKW trip so our points can be in the positive again.

First thing tomorrow morning I will be on the phone with MS to make that ressie. There is just something about VWL that tugs at our heartstrings.

We know an add-on is in our not so distant future.

We are going to tour the model rooms for AKV when we are there... talk about the maintenance fees and such.. then decide if we want to do a small add on through Disney or a small add on through resale.

I'm hoping that someone has a last minute cancellation for a VWL ressie so that we can go next week to VWL. Nothing wrong, at all, with OKW. But, with the girls, it's so much more convenient to grab the ferry boat from behind the resort and right to the gates of the Magic Kingdom.

If we don't get it, we'll still have fun though!

That's what we thought, and got our 25 March UY points in just a few days, final payment was due today, Oct. 15th!

I completely understand that thing about VWL. It does tug at you a bit when not there. It looks like we will only be making 1 trip to WDW next year, going to HHI in Mar with MIL, so the points will be used there that normally get used for a Spring trip to WDW. I am looking forward to HH, dont get me wrong, but I will be longing for "home" I fear.
