those of you who don't care to hear about my children can hit the back button now. (you know who you are.)
dd and her friend had to do a project for their enrichment teacher. since th 5th grade is studying the Civil War, the enrichment teacher gave them a project on the Civil War.
they decided to do the project in "talk show" format. they interviewed Civil War soldiers and Louisa May Alcott.
but the best part was the "commercials" they added.
they found a Civil War-era song called "Cumberland Gap."
the found a bag with a GAP logo on it, added the word "Cumberland" and did an ad for clothing -- in the style of the ads you see for the GAP.
