I've been fighting with my friends a *lot* lately and have no idea why, but it's tearing me up. I've been best friends with this couple for years, but now I swear I can't say a damn thing right. Everything I say is being taken wrong or turned against me. It really started with the husband of the pair with his insensitivity to my asthma (telling me to get over it and just take my inhaler and go to Las Vegas with them when that's beyond my comfortable risk level). Then it expanded with a misunderstanding on the game we play. I don't understand why they're attacking me left, right, and sideways, but I'm through. They know they're hurting my feelings, and they're continuing to do it. I used to love getting together with them, seeing their emails, spending time with them on the game, now I dread it. And it makes me feel so alone.

I'm sorry things are not going well with your friends.... but am I the only one who is curious about what "game" you play???

So sorry for what you're going through. Just remember - you can't change them or what they do but you can change yourself and what you do! If they understand how you feel and still continue their behavior, it's time for some change in your life.

I forgot to post in your other thread. My friend has severe asthma to the point of having a handicapped plaque for it and severe allergies and she goes to Vegas at least 2-4 times a year. I guess it is your comfort level but the way she put it to me is is EVERYTHING sets off her asthma and allergies, absolutey EVERTHING so if she wouldn't even be able to expose herself to her own home if she was going to be that militant about avoiding things. This is just her opinion though.

My 16 year old DS is way into Final Fantasy XI! I know he has people that he gets along with on the game and others not as much! I hope everything works out OK!

sorry you are going through a rough patch with your friends. i do hope things work out, but in the mean time all you can do is wait, and know that you are, who you are, and that is what is important. you have to put yourself, and your comfort first, and most friends would want you to do that.
