I can't wait any longer! ~UPDATE 5/25 I'm back!

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY
TUESDAY, MAY 19

Hello, my friends! :wave2:
You may note that I am WAY behind on many of your PTRs and TRs…
my sincere apologies! I’ll be spending much of my evenings this week getting caught up…
so I can fall behind again come next week!

This day begins at Epcot.
It’s so amazing to me that this trip isn’t packed in with MK to the extent it usually is. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still see plenty of it, but I’ve had entire trips where I’ve been to the MK each and every day!

Today will be an earlier rise as EP has morning EMHs.
I’ll probably try to hit up Test Track immediately since I opted for Soarin’ each and every time for my FP+ selection!

100_2313.jpg

I’ll almost definitely hit up Sunshine Seasons for breakfast because… why wouldn’t I?!

100_2324.jpg

My FP+ selections are as follows:

9:40-10:40am Soarin’

10:55-11:55am Turtle Talk with Crush

12:40-1:40pm Mission: SPACE*
*this will definitely be on the GREEN side!!! Even if my anti-motion sickness remedies work like a charm, ain’t nobody got time to deal with an unnecessary situation…

I’ll also plan to hit up some of my other favorites before heading off for Hollywood!

100_2325.jpg

100_2326.jpg

Unfortunately, MGM sees very little action from me this trip as I didn’t want to hassle with SWW traffic because I don’t plan on partaking in any of the events. But today this park is “green” so I’ll happily spend the afternoon and evening here! No set plans, though I do plan to hit up some of the shows – probably not Beauty and the Beast since I just saw it… then again it might be fun to compare the two. I’ll also say hi to Evie Starlight for Rob
(but I’ll do so discreetly so word doesn’t get back to Stacey… or Ariel!)

And I'll most definitely do the Great Movie Ride... since it's an absolute must for me each trip into the park.

100_2345.jpg

DHS is only open until 8:30pm this night so I most likely will venture on over to MK later as it’s open until 11pm.
However, I’ll be flexible as I know I’ll have morning EMHs at DHS the next day as well. :cloud9:

Yikes! 4:30 and 5:00?! Somehow 5:30 now feels like sleeping in compared to that!

I still prefer that to when I get home from work at 7:00am and then try (usually with mixed success... or failure) to sleep.

Okay, this is so funny. You see, I grew up in a restaurant - literally. My family has owned a family restaurant since 1979 (sadly, we sold just last year). My dad would always pick on the people that came in and ordered oatmeal saying "who orders OATMEAL at a restaurant?!"

I like that story! :)

People tend to confuse "workout girl" with "healthy eater girl" and for me that's not always the case... especially at Disney! ::yes::

Oh, you made that quite clear earlier.
I haven't forgotten.

I've never done turtle talk with crush! Maybe I need to try it out!

The Great Movie ride is always a must do, but s the only female in my little family, I don't always get to ride it :(

We spend a majority of our time at MK and Epcot. AK and DHS we can easily do in a morning and finish before lunch time. Isn't that sort of sad?

Hello, my friends! :wave2:[/

Hi Tracy! :wave2:

I’ll be spending much of my evenings this week getting caught up…
so I can fall behind again come next week!

Glad you've got it all planned out.

I’ve had entire trips where I’ve been to the MK each and every day![/

Wow! I can see how that would be easy to do, though.

I’ll almost definitely hit up Sunshine Seasons for breakfast because… why wouldn’t I?!

Never knew they had oatmeal there.

100_2325-jpg.93281

They say that the Ellen vid is getting a little dated.
Would you believe that the last time I saw this... there was no Ellen??

Unfortunately, MGM sees very little action from me this trip[/

You're not going to get any action this trip.
Okay.
But you know this is a family board, right?
Do you really think you should be sharing these sorts of details?

I’ll also say hi to Evie Starlight for Rob
(but I’ll do so discreetly so word doesn’t get back to Stacey… or Ariel!)

Your Animal Kingdom plans sound great! I love ITTBAB (I always love the shrieking as the bugs "leave the theatre" - is that bad? ) and Kilimanjaro Safaris is always fabulous. I hope to catch both Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo this trip - I haven't seen either since 2012.

Several people have mentioned it, but do try and make time for wandering on the trails. I can't really pick a favorite - I love both of them! It's fun to watch the animals and all, but the design and details on both trails is FABULOUS. :thumbsup2 They do get warm as you move into the afternoon, so I'd recommend working them in the morning if you can, or bring a nice cold drink or ice cream item to accompany you.

EPCOT! There's nothing wrong with extra time in Epcot. :goodvibes

Our Tier 1 Epcot Fastpasses are for Soarin', too! Between the single rider line and our general plans, we should be able to work in Test Track pretty easily.

I haven't been on the Universe of Energy for years - not since 2007, I believe? We enjoy other sections of the park more and the attraction takes so long that it's usually an easy skip. We may have to partake this time in order to give us a break from the heat - plus, it would be fun to laugh at Judy. :rotfl:

You and Anika would get along very well - she LOVES the Great Movie Ride! :cloud9:

1) Disney "smells"

Disney water, for one. I can't explain my obsession with this smell, but I can't get enough. Pirates, Splash, iasw, Jungle Cruise, Gran Fiesta Tour, Living with the Land, it doesn't matter, they all seem to have this common, wonderful smell that instantly tells you "I'm here".

I'm a little late to your PTR party, but I'm catching up now...and I have to say, I TOTALLY agree with your comment on the Disney World water smell! I JUST LOVE IT! It truly says, you're here!

Love your plans for Epcot/DHS...sigh...I guess this is one of those times I have park hopper envy lol. I've never had a park hopper and in a lot of cases don't see the need...but when trying to plan out your days between EMH's and ADR's and what's predicted to be busiest...I guess sometimes it just makes sense to "hop"...I just wish it didn't add SO much to the price of the tickets!!! ANYWAY...back to your PTR lol...I've only been to Sunshine Seasons for lunch...never seen what they offer for breakfast...so curious there. And I LOVE turtle talk so great FP+ on that. Epcot is a tough call for what to use your 2nd and 3rd FP+ on...

I've never done turtle talk with crush! Maybe I need to try it out!

Yes, you should! It's not something I need to do constantly but once a trip is cute.
Awww, I'd totally ride GMR with you as much as you wanted to! ::yes:: (not that that helps )
Hey, Disney is what you want it to be, only sad if you're not doing it the way you want. We set the rules, right? ;)

Oh, you made that quite clear earlier.
I haven't forgotten.
 Just makin' sure you're paying attention, pkondz!

Hi Tracy! :wave2:
:goodvibes

Never knew they had oatmeal there.
:rotfl2:

You're not going to get any action this trip.
Okay.
But you know this is a family board, right?

HAHAHAHAH I really do need a filter, don't I?!

Your Animal Kingdom plans sound great! I love ITTBAB (I always love the shrieking as the bugs "leave the theatre" - is that bad? ) and Kilimanjaro Safaris is always fabulous. I LOVE that part of ITTBAB, too!
I will absolutely make time to see the trails - good point on the heat though... I should try to do those earlier if I can. :thumbsup2 Which... no reason I can't... I am solo after all and the only person I have to argue with is myself
Yep, that's what I figure about TT - easily can just do Single Rider for that and better use my FP+ for Soarin' ::yes::
Universe of Energy is a perfect way to relax away from the heat! And yes, always fun to laugh at Judy ;)
Yay!!! Another GMR fan! I sure hope I can meet you two! :thumbsup2

I'm a little late to your PTR party, but I'm catching up now...and I have to say, I TOTALLY agree with your comment on the Disney World water smell! I JUST LOVE IT! It truly says, you're here!
So happy to have you along! :welcome: Right?! Isn't Disney water just the best?!?!!? :cloud9:

Love your plans for Epcot/DHS...sigh...I guess this is one of those times I have park hopper envy lol. I've never had a park hopper and in a lot of cases don't see the need...but when trying to plan out your days between EMH's and ADR's and what's predicted to be busiest...I guess sometimes it just makes sense to "hop"...I just wish it didn't add SO much to the price of the tickets!!! Thank you! Yes, park hopping definitely has its advantages. And when you're only upgrading one set of tickets, it doesn't seem quite as painful as the addition of the hopper to multiple park tickets. :faint: But with a hopper can come added pressure to go-go-go every second... not that I need a lot of encouragement to do that.:rotfl:

It sounds like you're going to take advantage of some great time at Epcot! I think Test Track is a great option for EMH! With that and a single rider line, the wait should be nice and short.

We really enjoyed Turtle Talk with Crush - super cute and we were all laughing!

I think an afternoon wandering around MGM (love that you call it that, it will remain forever so in my mind) sounds just perfect! I would be spending some time enjoying One Man's Dream!

Oopsie, I was WAY behind.

And now… on to the update! I’m going to take a chapter out of many of your books and do a daily update – except... since I’m a slacker, I’ve waited long enough that I’ll be doing a “2 weeks from today” post rather than “one month from today” [hangs head in shame].
Don't be ashamed! Unless I stole the idea from someone without realizing it (and I may have, who knows :confused3), I started the whole "in [certain time] from today" posts and it wasn't always a month. I think I did like 2 or 3 weeks for the first ones. Maybe even a week, I can't remember. I know that I did a month for Hawaii and this trip because both are over a week long and I thought it would be less confusing with a month. :rotfl:

My only major goal of the evening is to try to meet up with @Dugette!
Woo hoo! :cool1: I'm glad you posted this - I saw it the other day and was like, "Wait? The 17th? I thought it was the 22nd!" :rotfl2: My memory :sad2:. But I think I got it right in the PTR post I just did. :thumbsup2

Great updates and your plans sound good! So close now! And congrats on the home buying class and decision to save up for a house! :goodvibes

12:40-1:40pm Mission: SPACE*
*this will definitely be on the GREEN side!!! Even if my anti-motion sickness remedies work like a charm, ain’t nobody got time to deal with an unnecessary situation…

:rotfl2: This made me laugh because that's exactly how I feel about the orange side of Mission Space. Loved it the first couple of times I tried it, but it all went down hill from there. :rotfl2: Fun FP plans. It looks perfect and yayayaya for 2 weeks to goQ :cheer2:

I’ll also say hi to Evie Starlight for Rob
(but I’ll do so discreetly so word doesn’t get back to Stacey… or Ariel!)

I am sure Rob will appreciate your discretion! :rotfl:

I haven't been on the GMR is such a long time. Maybe in August? :scratchin

This day is a park day I consider “sleeping in” because there are no morning EMHs anywhere. I’ll start my day at AK with the plan to be there by 9am (keep in mind that I’m an early riser, my idea of really sleeping in on weekends is 8am and on week days I’m up by 5:30 to start my workout). Yeah, I know, I'm crazy...So 9am openings are my “easy” days!
:scared1: WOW I'm impressed lol. That sleeping schedule really comes in handy at WDW! :rotfl: I wish I could wake up early like you, I already know each morning at Disney is going to be an intense struggle getting up.

Your plans sound amazing! They make me want to add on Park Hoppers. Really enjoying all your photos too. :)

I absolutely LOVE Epcot! And you will continue to see that as my week unfolds as I'm spending a LOT of time there! Yep, that's exactly what I'm hoping for for Test Track at that hour. :thumbsup2

Isn't Turtle Talk adorable?! So cute! :cutie:

I totally agree about "remaining forever in your mind" as MGM. It'll be interesting to see what they call "DHS" after the next name change...

OMG!!! I see you have a new ticker?!?!?!? :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Oopsie, I was WAY behind.

It's okay, I've been struggling to keep up lately myself - there's SO much to do these days since our trips are so close!!! :hyper:
:rotfl: The 22nd would be fine too! I'll take whatever I can get - since I'm solo, my plans can be a bit more flexible than yours probably ;)
We are SOOO close!!! :jumping1:

:rotfl2: This made me laugh because that's exactly how I feel about the orange side of Mission Space. Loved it the first couple of times I tried it, but it all went down hill from there. :rotfl2: Fun FP plans. It looks perfect and yayayaya for 2 weeks to goQ :cheer2:
Right?!?!? :rotfl: I figure even if things are going along just fine... why tempt fate?!

I am sure Rob will appreciate your discretion! :rotfl:
:rotfl2:

I haven't been on the GMR is such a long time. Maybe in August? :scratchin
Yes!!! I couldn't go even a trip to DHS without going on it... just one of those inexplicable "have to dos" there for me! :confused3

:scared1: WOW I'm impressed lol. That sleeping schedule really comes in handy at WDW! :rotfl: I wish I could wake up early like you, I already know each morning at Disney is going to be an intense struggle getting up.

My sleeping schedule definitely comes in handy at Disney! At least in the morning  I may be singing a different tune come some of these late nights!

Thank you!!! :goodvibes

Mmm that oatmeal looks delicious! I may have to try that if we get to AK early!!
I too have not given AK the time it deserves, but I also find AK to be the hottest park, I dunno why I'm always burning up whenever I'm there (guess because it feels like a stuffy jungle to me). So we ride our FP+ rides, have lunch, ride Kali River Rapis and get all wet, and I'm done! Usually it's a short day and we head back to the resort to clean up and go to DTD, which is probably going to be my plan when we hit AK on Tuesday May 19. :)

Very true!! .seems sad thinking about it, but reality is we enjoy MK and EP more ;)

I'm the same way Tracy. If I had to choose, I would always choose Magic Kingdom, each and every time. But Epcot? Yeah, I'm down with that.

I’ll almost definitely hit up Sunshine Seasons for breakfast because… why wouldn’t I?!

Which should include some SSSS as well? Yeah, I think so.

Make sure you use that Turtle Talk FP!!! Definitely an unsung treasure.

I’ll also say hi to Evie Starlight for Rob
(but I’ll do so discreetly so word doesn’t get back to Stacey… or Ariel!)

Picture or it didn't happen... just sayin'. And also, thank you for your discretion. :worship:

my sincere apologies! I’ll be spending much of my evenings this week getting caught up…

No apologies needed. Lord knows I'm the worst at keeping up with the PTR/TRs I follow here! :cutie:

This day begins at Epcot.
Yes, it does, because you stayed at Animal Kingdom until closing the day before, and finally gave it the time and and attention it deserves, right? RIGHT? o_O

I’ll probably try to hit up Test Track immediately
God bless that Single Rider line. :goodvibes

Yeah you did! Aaaand I LOVE IT! :woohoo:

Please do be discreet, don't go causing no drama for that man and his harem of Disney ladies. :P

And I'll most definitely do the Great Movie Ride... since it's an absolute must for me each trip into the park.
It's one of my must-do's there also!!! :D

DHS is only open until 8:30pm this night so I most likely will venture on over to MK later as it’s open until 11pm.
Because 3 parks in one day is totally the kind of commando thing I would expect from you, Tracy. :thumbsup2

It really is yummy! :thumbsup2 I couldn't agree more about AK being the hottest park! Where do you typically eat lunch at AK? I have a couple spots in mind but since I rarely spend tons of time there... I don't have a real favorite yet (and - this is horrible - I think I've typically been out of AK already by the time lunch rolls around... :sad2:).

Very true!! I my.seems sad thinkin g too Christmas it, but reality is we enjoy NO and EP more ;)
It's true, what can we say?!

I'm the same way Tracy. If I had to choose, I would always choose Magic Kingdom, each and every time. But Epcot? Yeah, I'm down with that.
I'm with you 100% here, Rob! :thumbsup2

For sure! ::yes::

Make sure you use that Turtle Talk FP!!! Definitely an unsung treasure.
It really is - I have only seen it a couple times but am always glad when I do :goodvibes

Picture or it didn't happen... just sayin'. And also, thank you for your discretion. :worship:
You got it!

Yes, it does, because you stayed at Animal Kingdom until closing the day before, and finally gave it the time and and attention it deserves, right? RIGHT? o_O
Um, yeah... uh huh. That's exactly what's gonna happen... :rolleyes1

God bless that Single Rider line. :goodvibes
You know it!!! :thumbsup2

OMG I love her. I say "ain't nobody got time for that" at least once a day.

Please do be discreet, don't go causing no drama for that man and his harem of Disney ladies. :P
Ohmygosh, it's SO true! @DisneyKid4Life absolutely has a harem of Disney ladies!!!:rotfl2::rotfl:

Because 3 parks in one day is totally the kind of commando thing I would expect from you, Tracy. :thumbsup2
You know me so well, Billie! :thumbsup2:rotfl2: I once did 4 parks in a day... just sayin' :rolleyes1

Same! :lmao:

That Rob, he's such a Disney player. :D

You know me so well, Billie! :thumbsup2:rotfl2: I once did 4 parks in a day... just sayin' :rolleyes1
Why does this not surprise me? :cutie: I've actually thought about doing it a number of times, but always decide not to. Some day! ::yes::
