I can't wait any longer! ~UPDATE 5/25 I'm back!

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY
WEDNESDAY MAY 20

This day is morning EMH at MGM!!!

100_2344.JPG
(let's hope minus the rain featured above)

I also scheduled my only MGM set of FP+s for this day. I plan to get here as early as possible and maximize my only morning in the Studios. Since, as you’ll see below, I didn’t opt for Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster for a FP+, I’ll try to hit it up immediately. I’ll also probably do ToT during this time as well.

100_2365.JPG

Hopefully my stomach cooperates! :confused::lmao:

A visit to MGM just wouldn’t be complete without a stop at One Man’s Dream so that’s a must-do. Likely I’ll also hit up Muppets, Star Tours (dependent on how my stomach reacts to the morning thus far… it’s been nearly a decade since I was last one this ride). And of course I’ll do the Great Movie Ride at least a couple times. :thumbsup2 There's just something about this vision below that makes me SO happy.

100_2389.JPG

My goal is to get the cowboy scene… without asking for it. :thumbsup2

My FP+s are for the following so I’ll work those in as well of course:

10:25-11:25am Tower of Terror

12:20-1:20pm Toy Story Midway Mania!

1:55-2:55pm Star Tours

I’d also like to take this day to try for shows I missed the day before
(likely they’ll be many I didn’t already see).
I love Indiana Jones and I wouldn’t mind seeing Lights, Motors, Action as well as Voyage of the Little Mermaid. I also really want to do the Animation Academy!

100_2346.JPG

After I’m satisfied with my day at MGM, I’ll do one of three things depending on my mood:

1) Head back to Epcot because… I can’t get enough!
2) Head over to Downtown Disney for a bit
3) Head back to Pop for a rest/swim and possibly check out Art of Animation (but let’s be honest, when does this park commando “rest” whilst at Disney?!) Gonna answer that for me @Elevationist ?
My evening will definitely end at MK where I’ll likely hit up some rides during the parades (if I was able to catch them the other night)
and then watch Wishes! :cloud9::lovestruc

Tracy, every time we go to AK we've eaten breakfast/brunch/lunch at Tusker House...the Donald Safari breakfast is totally worth the trek to AK...even in the heat!! This year we're eating at Yak and Yeti, although I kinda will miss Tusker but I made a vow to try new restaurants on every trip :)

HS day!!! Always a close second to an MK day! Plans sound good to me!
I love HS, too!!! :hyper::hyper::hyper:

I may be giving Yak and Yeti a first try this trip as well! I know what you mean about trying new restaurants, I like to do the same. Thanks! :thumbsup2

I'm so proud that you're going on all the crazy rides! I will cross my fingers and toes that all of your remedies work for you and you don't have any motion sickness issues. :goodvibes

I'd like to try and catch a show at HS as well - Indiana Jones is at the top of the list in case it gets the ax from the Hollywood Studios (supposedly planned) expansions.

Any day that involves Wishes is always a good one! :thumbsup2

Thank you!!! :goodvibes With your luck and my remedies, I think I should be in good shape to tackle this list of rides! Mind over matter, right?! :rotfl2:

I'm going to be pretty sad if they ax Indy, I'm not gonna lie. I just really love that show. :lovestruc

I agree! Any day that involves Wishes is a good one :goodvibes

OMG!!! I see you have a new ticker?!?!?!? :hyper::hyper::hyper:

Yes, YAY! We just decided a few nights ago - a quick Christmas trip. And it feels very last minute to me even though it's over 6 months away. I'm used to more planning than this!

A visit to MGM just wouldn’t be complete without a stop at One Man’s Dream

I agree, 100%!

My goal is to get the cowboy scene… without asking for it.

I've heard lots of people are getting this lately. Fingers crossed!

My evening will definitely end at MK where I’ll likely hit up some rides during the parades (if I was able to catch them the other night)

It sounds like a perfect end to the night!

Your plans sounds great! It seems like you're really taking advantage of those early EMHs!

Love watching your plans update and so excited to see it all come together! :flower3:

Great plans for HS!! I really want to do animation academy too when we go...though I hear it can have long lines and there is no FP+...sigh...wonder if it's worth doing that at RD...probably not but...don't want to miss it....You have great FP's picked and hopefully your stomach won't even notice ToT :))

(let's hope minus the rain featured above)

And the hat... although I don't think you'll have to hope for that one.

Hopefully my stomach cooperates!

Do coasters normally bother you?
For me it's just spinning rides.
i.e. RNRC no problem, Tea Cups... problem!

There's just something about this vision below that makes me SO happy.

::yes::

3) Head back to Pop for a rest/swim

:lmao: Good one!

Good call on an early morning RnRC while everybody else rushes to TSMM. Plus, single rider is a nice option just in case.

A visit to MGM just wouldn’t be complete without a stop at One Man’s Dream so that’s a must-do.

Yeah buddy!

My goal is to get the cowboy scene… without asking for it. :thumbsup2

Just be sure to maneuver yourself into that first vehicle. :)

1. My knee is feeling a little better – I ran about 3 miles today and didn’t want to saw off the lower half of my leg because I thought that’d actually make it feel better

Glad that your knee is doing better!
2. I thought I may have had a cavity (it would have been my very, very first :scared1:) but didn’t! Turns out I just have a sensitive tooth – woohoo! :woohoo:(sorry, @Gracefulskinny... :sad2: I hate to gloat in the wake of your tooth-related problems right now!!!)

Oh my gosh, you and DH! I actually think he got his very first cavity last year, ever! I hate you guys :rotfl2:

3. The first time home-buyers course is going really great! I “graduate” tomorrow night! :thumbsup2

I missed the graduation ceremony but congratulations!

In other news… and this may be very hard to believe (it is for me still!). I may have decided to forgo a Disney trip this fall/winter. After having nearly completed the first time home-buyers course, I’m seriously considering that as a possibility. And, if I do go that route, I may very well want/need that vacation money for a downpayment. Right now, that may make the most sense for me. I’m still contemplating a trip to see my dad in November which would still get me to Disney for a day so it’s not a total loss! I’ll keep you all posted!

This is smart. WDW will always be there (side note: I hate when people say this cause I know it's always going to be there, but I still want to take a trip NOW!) :rotfl:

I’ll be flying out of Syracuse, NY this morning at 8am! This is amazing news because typically I fly out around 6:00 or 6:30am and get to MCO much later in the day than I’d like because of layovers elsewhere (typically Philly :sad2:). But this time I was able to land (pun intended) a non-stop flight that will leave at 8:00am and arrive to MCO at 10:45am!!! This is amazing!!!

Love those direct flights! Your scenario is the same for us. We're always able to secure a direct flight from CA to FL but coming home is always layovers, which sucks.

That said, my FP+ reservations are:

5:15-6:15pm Spaceship Earth

6:50-7:50pm The Seas with Nemo & Friends

8:00-9:00pm Soarin’
(this is my first of three Soarin FPs… looking at you Jen! @Nermel9)

After strolling through the F&G booths and using up my FP+s,
it’ll be about time for Epcot to close (9pm).
I’m going to forego Illuminations this night to hightail it over to MK since it’s open until 12am! Here, I’m hoping to do whatever strikes my fancy at the time. My only major goal of the evening is to try to meet up with @Dugette! I may also try to hit up Main Street Electrical Parade (9pm and 11pm), Celebrate the Magic (9:45pm and 10:35pm), and/or Wishes (10pm) depending on what I feel like.

This sounds like a fun evening!

(keep in mind that I’m an early riser, my idea of really sleeping in on weekends is 8am and on week days I’m up by 5:30 to start my workout). Yeah, I know, I'm crazy...

Okay, you'd make an excellent new mom just saying! :rotfl: These hours became the norm for us once we became parents. Now on the weekends, we never see our pillows past 8am.

I’ll also hit up Dinosaur and ride that as much as I can

I love this ride too!

menu_item_image_49-1-jpg.92968

This reminds me of McDonald's oatmeal. I'm a total oatmeal girl!

t some point I want to do the Disney Visa Character Meet ‘N’ Greet since I’ve been a cardholder for nearly a decade and haven’t ever taken advantage of this! This may happen on this day!

Same here! :rotfl:

I’ll almost definitely hit up Sunshine Seasons for breakfast because… why wouldn’t I?!

100_2324-jpg.93280

Smart!

(but I’ll do so discreetly so word doesn’t get back to Stacey… or Ariel!)

Very considerate. No need for unnecessary drama :rotfl:

Star Tours (dependent on how my stomach reacts to the morning thus far… it’s been nearly a decade since I was last one this ride)

So you've never seen the new ride then?! I feel it's definitely not as bad as the old ride. Hopefully you'll be able to ride it!

1) Head back to Epcot because… I can’t get enough!

Agreed!

Star tours is one of my most favorite rides, have fun with all you've planned! :D

I finally went on Star Tours for the first time a couple of years ago after they had updated it. I LOVE rollercoasters and thrill rides but boy did Star Tours mess with my stomach and my head :( Hopefully you have better luck than I did!!

Yay for you adding another ticker!! I have to figure out what day we're heading to WDW next December so I can get one of those started, too!!! :)

Yes, YAY! We just decided a few nights ago - a quick Christmas trip. And it feels very last minute to me even though it's over 6 months away. I'm used to more planning than this!
I'm SO excited for you!!! :hyper:
I've heard lots of people are getting this lately. Fingers crossed!
I've heard the same! Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed, too! :thumbsup2

It sounds like a perfect end to the night!
I think so too :cloud9:

Your plans sounds great! It seems like you're really taking advantage of those early EMHs!
I sure am! ::yes::

Love watching your plans update and so excited to see it all come together! :flower3:
Thank you!!! :goodvibes

I know!!! I was having this same debate with myself :rotfl: I probably won't do it at RD, but... also don't want to miss it and I get impatient with having to wait too long  Yep! That's my goal: for my stomach to not even notice ToT! :cool2:

And the hat... although I don't think you'll have to hope for that one.
Yes, and the hat. But I'll take the hat to the rain any day!

Do coasters normally bother you?
For me it's just spinning rides.
i.e. RNRC no problem, Tea Cups... problem!
Coasters definitely can bother me, but not nearly as much as spinning. NO spinning for this girl, even with all her remedies. :sad2::laughing:

:lmao: Good one!
Alright, clearly I didn't fool you here, huh? Truly, the only person I may be fooling is myself :rotfl:

Good call on an early morning RnRC while everybody else rushes to TSMM. Plus, single rider is a nice option just in case.
Exactly! I hate to admit this but I'm usually okay with just my FP+ for TSMM... I'd rather make better use of my time than participating in the mad dash over that way. Prior to FP+... well, that was a different story. ;)

Yeah buddy!
I knew you'd approve, Rob. Us two just can't get enough of One Man's Dream. :cloud9:

Just be sure to maneuver yourself into that first vehicle. :)
That's the plan! :thumbsup2

Glad that your knee is doing better!
Thank you! :goodvibes
Oh my gosh, you and DH! I actually think he got his very first cavity last year, ever! I hate you guys :rotfl2:
Wow! He's lucky, too! Although admittedly not quite as lucky as me now that he has one

I missed the graduation ceremony but congratulations!
Thank you! It was fun and now I'm so much more knowledgeable about the whole home-buying process than before. Although the jury's still out on whether I'll actually go through with this...

Love those direct flights! Your scenario is the same for us. We're always able to secure a direct flight from CA to FL but coming home is always layovers, which sucks.
I guess until it's actually time to go home, you don't tend to think about it as much as long as you can get there as quickly as possible on the way down.

This sounds like a fun evening!
Thanks! I agree :goodvibes

Okay, you'd make an excellent new mom just saying! :rotfl: These hours became the norm for us once we became parents. Now on the weekends, we never see our pillows past 8am.
:rotfl:

This reminds me of McDonald's oatmeal. I'm a total oatmeal girl!
Me too!!! I'm actually thinking of having it tonight for dinner :rotfl2: The reason is two-fold: 1) I love it and 2) I'm feeling lazy

Very considerate. No need for unnecessary drama :rotfl:
Yeah, I figure I'd be a good pal and save @DisneyKid4Life some explaining... ;)

So you've never seen the new ride then?! I feel it's definitely not as bad as the old ride. Hopefully you'll be able to ride it!
Nope! I haven't! I'm excited though :thumbsup2

Star tours is one of my most favorite rides, have fun with all you've planned! :D
YAY! Happy to hear that! I can't wait! :thumbsup2

Wow, not sure how I lost track of this thread, but it's been really exciting to read through and catch up! Your busy week must have made the time fly by, which just means that your trip is even closer :) Your plans look so good, and Soarin' fast passes are a must for me as well. I hope you are able to get that Cowboy Scene on the Great Movie Ride - this old brain doesn't remember what went down, maybe I need to get a special notebook too!
Yes, the silver lining for busy weeks before vacations is that the time sure goes fast! :thumbsup2 I'm honestly not sure that I've ever had the cowboy scene... that, or it's outside of working memory :rotfl:

I finally went on Star Tours for the first time a couple of years ago after they had updated it. I LOVE rollercoasters and thrill rides but boy did Star Tours mess with my stomach and my head :( Hopefully you have better luck than I did!!

Ugh, sorry to hear about your experience with Star Tours. :sad2: Hopefully I'll have better luck!

Tickers are the best! :lovestruc I'll be sad once my May one goes away soon.

Then you can start planning another one! I had to start my 1st PTR as there so many good ideas of things to do, and things we've never done there! Also Star Tours is the best! :bitelip: I'm too chicken to go on the Rockin' Rollercoaster one though. I hope you get to enjoy all of the things you wish for! :D :tinker:*pixie dust*

Hi :wave2: I've been following along but I am so super late to stop lurking and start commenting! Less than two weeks to go! Yay for you, cause it's Disney time! But sad for me as no more PTR plans :sad2:

Well I think that's means you now have to A. Do a trip report (which I promise I will comment on from the start like a good girl ::yes:: and not at the very nearly the end like a lunatic!) And B. Start planning a new trip with a new PTR for me to follow along! :thanks:

That really is SO true!!! Yay - you started a PTR - I'll be sure to pop right over and check it out! :thumbsup2

Yay!!! Thanks for joining in [officially ]!!! :welcome: I am absolutely, positively, 100% doing a TR after my trip! So stay tuned! ::yes::

TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY
THURSDAY MAY 21
This day will be an especially busy one for me! I’m not typically a huge ADR person, only because I’m often traveling solo
(not that that should stop me or anyone else, mind you)
but also because when I’m traveling solo, I like to do what strikes my mood at the time – and that's sometimes hard when you’re bound by the confines of racing to your ADR time. That being said… I have two today! :rotfl:
I’ll start my day at Magic Kingdom!

100_2291.JPG

This is practically unreal to me – this is my first MK morning and it’s Day 5! It’s morning EMH at MK so this will help make good use of my first morning at this park.

100_2292.JPG

I’ll plan to get there as early as possible and hit up Peter Pan’s Flight immediately, followed by the other usual suspects.

100_2295.JPG

100_2296.JPG

FH000030.jpg

100_2305.JPG

100_2306.JPG
My FP+s are as follows:
9:10-10:10am Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
(unless I’m able to do so prior to now,
this will be my first go-round on this ever!)
10:45-11:45am Space Mountain
(hopefully I’ll manage a ride prior to my FP+ as well!)
12:45-1:45pm Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
(this is my absolute all-time childhood favorite :lovestruc:cloud9:)
100_2387.JPG

FH000027.jpg
Today’s first ADR is at Be Our Guest for lunch at 11:55!
This will work out perfectly with my FP+s. You may also recall that I started out with 3 ADRs for BoG somehow and ended up cancelling the other two. I’m really happy with this day and time.
This will also be my first visit to Be Our Guest in general. I briefly considered it on my last trip but there was no way I was waiting in that line.
I pre-ordered my lunch a couple weeks ago.
This meal will look very familiar to @pkondz (thanks for the great recommendations!) and @Elevationist.
French Onion Soup
Braised Pork (Coq Au Vin Style)
braised-pork-coq-au-vin-Be-Our-Guest.jpg
The Master’s Cupcake
I’m SO excited to be eating here as I’ve heard such rave reviews about the food and the atmosphere. After this ADR, I’ll hit up my third FP+ and likely hang at MK for quite a while longer. If I haven’t yet done so, I’ll venture on over to DTD but I’d like to do so on a different day because I would want to hit up Earl of Sandwich and certainly won’t be doing so in between two ADRs! And speaking of another ADR… I’ll be eventually making my way over to DHS/MGM and hang there for the evening. I have an 8:20pm ADR at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater! I absolutely love this place so I’m super excited for this! I probably won’t stay in the parks too late tonight as the following day begins the 24 hour party and I’ll need to do my best to rest up!!!
