All I remember is at the end they are trying to blow up a dam -- it was the English and Americans working together I believe. They set off a bomb and nothing happens. Another group of soldiers is watching from a hillside outside, then the alarms go off and a small crack begins to show. The two who set off the explosives start running and bump into some German soldiers. They make it outside to the other group where they all start congratulating each other and they go "only problem is we are on the wrong side of the river". Then in same movie, they show the Germans crossing a bridge, just when they are halfway across the water from the broken dam comes rushing through and the tanks, trucks and troops begin collapsing into the rushing river.

I have no clue who stars in it? Help anyone remember?? My nephew likes war movies and I wanted to get him this one for his birthday if it is on DVD.

I don't know that one but Bridge on the River Kwai comes to mind a s great war movie, with a similar scene in blowing up the railroad bridge. British and American soldiers in a POW camp are forced to build the bridge.

Forget FORCE 10; if you want to get him a MEANINGFUL war movie, buy this one............please also send a copy to bloodthirsty George in the White House as well;) .......

Force 10 From Navarone.

That's the one. It was a "sort of" sequel to Guns of Navarone. The only star I remember from that one was Harrison Ford.

please also send a copy to bloodthirsty George in the White House as well

nice attempt to hijack Kallison's thread

Really Eros (slap on the wrist).

Thanks for the website Dan -- I did look there first but nothing was ringing a bell.

It is Force 10 from Navarone. One of the few war movies I enjoy watching. Thanks everyone!

Happy to be of help, Kallison. Of course, there's my favorite "war" movie..................., but it is a little metaphorical:D
