I Can't Do That! I'd Be Too EmBEARassed! A Nov 2015 TR New PTR link 10/13!

I'm laughing so hard right now. Good thing I'm alone.

Did Mo's family get a video of you?

Glad I could provide you with some entertainment this morning. And yes there is a video but I haven't seen it yet. I'm hoping Mo will post it here.

Wow you really did have great seats! And the food looks delicious.

I can't believe you got picked!! It's a good thing you had those sangrias to make you less nervous ;) Mo got some great pictures of you! What an awesome experience, it looks like you really enjoyed it :) And glad to know where the TR title comes from now!

Mo and I confidently programed her phone to take us to the Wilderness Lodge and after a few minutes of driving in circles found our way out of the parking lot. Did anybody catch the mistake we made? I think Mo and I realized it at about the same exact time. We were going to Fort Wilderness, not Wilderness Lodge!
This is why I like maps - old fashioned but helpful. A couple of left turns would have gotten you there from WL. :) I'm glad you made it there on time for the food and show. :)

Well Tom and Mo had anniversary ones on so they got introduced. Then they played “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and had the couples dance. Tom and Mo didn’t want to get up but the kids and I egged them on till they had to.
That is sweet. I would have made them dance, too. ;)

The angel is usually a burly, very manly looking guy because they put him in a tutu. I really thought that Tom would make the perfect angel and was hoping since we were so visible that he would be picked.

Next thing I knew, one of the performers did head our way but he walked right past Tom and took my hand. Wait, what?!?!? I was being picked, holy crap, what the heck is happening? I’m way too old to be doing this!! I was so in the moment (and just a bit tipsy from the two sangrias, yes I’m a lightweight) that I didn’t even think, just followed him up on stage. I really believe it was the HDDR shirt that got me picked because he commented on it as we were walking to the stage.
Wow, what a great experience. Maybe it's a god thing that you had a few Sangrias first to relax you. ;)

One of the performers said “The Can Can Dancer is supposed to kiss the bear”. My line of course was “I Can’t do that! I’d be too emBEARassed!” I had to make sure to emphasize the “bear” in embarrassed to keep in line with the bear jokes. Well I somehow managed to get the line out without stumbling and it even got a laugh from the audience so I guess I did OK.
Now I know where the TR title came from. What a fun night you had.

What an awesome experience at Hoop Dee Do! I have never been but definitely want to go on one of my next trips!

Oh my god that's so awesome! I need to do the HDDR one of these days.

I'm on day 3 at Disney and it's going so great. Great weather and a lot of fun.

Wow!! What a crazy fun experience!! I'm sure you did great - that part of the show is always hilarious!! And I'm sure the sangria helped you loosen up some! Excited for a video!

Welp, that settles it. We are definitely going to the HDDR when we go in December!! My son and my parents will absolutely love it and we will be wearing our Anniversary buttons, so despite my husband's groaning I will really look forward to having a dance with him :)

Thanks for the bright spot in my morning!! Those pictures just make me smile!! :) You look like you were having the time of your life!!

This. Is. GREAT!!
Just love the pictures! So awesome you were chosen...what a great memory!
Can't wait to see the Video! :)

We decided to pay for the HDDR out of pocket since its 2 credits and Mo paid for me as a thank you for making our shared ADRs. Way more than necessary but thank you once again for a wonderful night Mo!

No Problem!!! I was just so HAPPY to do this with you!!!

Somehow I ended up in the passenger seat doing the navigation with Mo driving.

because Tom is scared of my driving...
:rotfl2:

Mo and I confidently programed her phone to take us to the Wilderness Lodge and after a few minutes of driving in circles found our way out of the parking lot.

::yes::
seriously.. round and round we went.. This is BEFORE sangria!

I somehow ended up having us driving somewhere 700 miles away.

Let's DO THIS
ThelmaLouise2-1600x900-c-default.jpeg

I bet Mo won’t ask me to navigate again!

Yes i will..

So we ended up missing the photo op at the beginning.

WHAT?!?!?! TARN NABBIT!!!! that makes me so so mad!

Our seats were awesome, we were right smack in the middle of the main floor and right next to an area where the performers come out in the audience to perform.

Category 1 baby...

bread we attacked it.

This is seriously no joke.. i don't even think we gave the poor server the chance to put it ON the table!!! SAVAGES!!!

Remember how I said that the performers come out in the audience. Well this is how close to our table they were. No zoom used here!

they were really close.. and FUNNY!

I didn’t have any of these because pork upsets my stomach but everyone else seemed to enjoy them.

I wasn't a fan but the kids ate it like nothing.

Yum, yum and yum! The food is also all you can eat and I know we got more chicken and mashed potatoes for sure.

what i would do for a bucket right now...

Then they played “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” and had the couples dance. Tom and Mo didn’t want to get up but the kids and I egged them on till they had to.

Yeah that happened...

Seriously this guy would NOT crack a smile!!!

Next thing I knew, one of the performers did head our way but he walked right past Tom and took my hand. Wait, what?!?!?

This.... THIS. MADE. MY. NIGHT!!!!!
I was jumping out of my seat for her! I could see the reluctance there was NO WAY i was going to let her NOT do this if i had to carry her up there myself!!!

The next group of photos were all taken by Mo so credit goes to her.

No biggie. Not happy with them

The performer that pulled me up on stage was Johnny Ringo

And i think he liked you.. Liked you...

I do believe there may be video. Mo if you have it go ahead and post, I’m sure everyone would like a good laugh.

There is but i have not even gotten them off the camera yet.

I had to remember to keep holding my skirt up because there was a joke involved. I can’t remember what was said but I held it until instructed to let it down.

it was a joke about showing off...

I Can’t do that! I’d be too emBEARassed!” I had to make sure to emphasize the “bear” in embarrassed to keep in line with the bear jokes.

and you did well! Everyone heard you!!!

Then as I tried to stand up I stepped on the dress and almost ended up on my face.

i saw that...

Claire (the blonde) told me to lift my skirt and shake it so I did.

COME ON! look how happy you are!!! that is worth millions!

The kids had a blast with this one.

That ain't no joke...

Overall this was probably one of the best experiences I have ever had at WDW.

Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

It was so much fun and I am so glad that I let go of my inhibitions and just went for it no matter how awkward it looked.

Me too!!! I think i had more fun watching you then anything!!!

Once again Mo thank you so much for including me on this night!

awww your very welcome.. and THANK YOU for putting up with my crazy family.

Mo and family hopped on an internal bus back to the parking lot.

which took a while...

The HDDR looks like so much fun. My mom claims we did this when I was younger, but I really don't remember. Hopefully I can do this one day with my kids. It looks like a great time. What level seats did you have?

Just found your TR and I'm loving it, especially your starring HDDR role :goodvibes

OMG! I can't believe you got picked at HDDR!! That is so cool. I'm glad you did it too! My line of thinking when that happens is that no one knows me here so why the heck not! (But it still makes me nervous). Look at that smile, though!!

I love HDDR for the food and the show. It's so much fun. I'm kind of sad to be skipping it this year.

I am a bit behind here...

First off - I love your AoA pictures... I've visited AoA once - but didn't get to explore each area. I am NOT a huge Cars fan - but I do agree that the Cars area and themeing is the best of all of them - it's just so fun!

That picture of you with Mo is great too!

And HDDR... Gosh - I've wanted to do this soooo badly for soooo many trips - I've never done it, and I think it would be so awesome! This upcoming trip with Allison would be so perfect, since it would be so easy to transport there and back - I wish I could pull the trigger on the price... I know she would love it too.

I just loved your pictures - and I am so glad that you were able to step outside your comfort zone to experience this - I am sure it is one of your favorite memories - you look like you had so much fun up there! I just love it! Thanks for sharing this night with us!

Miss you all terribly!

D~

Enjoying the updates! We've walked over to AoA from Pop the last few times but always focus on the Cars area as that is what our kids are into. Now that Lion King has a spinoff Disney Jr show- I could see us checking that out next time too!

We love the food and entertainment at hoop Dee Doo review! My husband was the Indian last time! Hilarious!

Good for you for being such a great sport!

I came here from Mo's TR. I loved the HDDR pictures. So, I spent all morning yesterday catching up on your trip report. I have been enjoying it so far. Hope you are having a great weekend.

Found your TR the other day and now am caught up so I can comment. I have really enjoyed hearing about your Trip so far.

DH and I ate at Le Cellier in 2010 for Lunch and we really enjoyed it but I agree, it's not worth 2 credits. BTW you can get just about the same pretzel rolls (they are shorter) at Biergarten for 1 credit... (That's one of our favorite places)

Fun experience at Hoop de Doo! I have been there a couple times in the past, hoping to go again on a future trip.

We did have great seats and the food is out of this world! Those sangrias really did help.

This is why I like maps - old fashioned but helpful. A couple of left turns would have gotten you there from WL. :) I'm glad you made it there on time for the food and show. :)

That is sweet. I would have made them dance, too. ;)

Wow, what a great experience. Maybe it's a god thing that you had a few Sangrias first to relax you. ;)

Now I know where the TR title came from. What a fun night you had.

I'm sure we would have found our way even if we had ended up at the WL. But we were panicked there for a few minutes.

It was a wonderful night all around and the Sangrias really did help.

What an awesome experience at Hoop Dee Do! I have never been but definitely want to go on one of my next trips!

You should go! It's a huge amount of fun even without being in the show.

Oh my god that's so awesome! I need to do the HDDR one of these days.

I'm on day 3 at Disney and it's going so great. Great weather and a lot of fun.

Yes you do, it's a blast! So glad you are having fun at Disney, can't wait to read all about it.

Wow!! What a crazy fun experience!! I'm sure you did great - that part of the show is always hilarious!! And I'm sure the sangria helped you loosen up some! Excited for a video!

I'm sure Mo will post the video as soon as she gets it off of her camera. She was super busy over the holidays. It was a wonderful time that's for sure!

You made it back to WDW! I am here and ready to follow along once again!

Yes I did make it back! Thanks for joining in.

Yes you must! It was so much fun!

This. Is. GREAT!!
Just love the pictures! So awesome you were chosen...what a great memory!
Can't wait to see the Video! :)

Thanks! It was a huge amount of fun and something I will never forget.

No Problem!!! I was just so HAPPY to do this with you!!!

I was too, so much fun!

because Tom is scared of my driving...

Didn't faze me at all but then Jim is a crazy driver so I'm used to it. :rotfl:

seriously.. round and round we went.. This is BEFORE sangria!

What was with that parking lot? So confusing.

Let's DO THIS

Yep almost ended up on a serious road trip!

Yes i will..

You are more patient than Jim then. He never lets me navigate anymore.

WHAT?!?!?! TARN NABBIT!!!! that makes me so so mad!

It wasn't anything too exciting and I think we got enough PP pictures during the week.

Category 1 baby...

I definitely loved sitting Category 1! Jim and I were in the balcony, Category 3, and it was fine for 2 people but more than that would have been hard.

This is seriously no joke.. i don't even think we gave the poor server the chance to put it ON the table!!! SAVAGES!!!

Nope we were all hungry!

they were really close.. and FUNNY!

The whole show is great and it was definitely fun having them so close.

I wasn't a fan but the kids ate it like nothing.

That's good, glad they enjoyed the meal.

what i would do for a bucket right now...

Tell me about it! That chicken was sooooo good.

Yeah that happened...

You guys were cute!

Seriously this guy would NOT crack a smile!!!

That made it even funnier. I swear he was just over the whole thing.

This.... THIS. MADE. MY. NIGHT!!!!!
I was jumping out of my seat for her! I could see the reluctance there was NO WAY i was going to let her NOT do this if i had to carry her up there myself!!!

I'm so glad I could entertain you guys although I still say Tom would have made a great angel.

No biggie. Not happy with them

Hey, they are great and I'm so glad you were there to take them!

And i think he liked you.. Liked you...

He may not have been the only one crushing a little there, he was awfully cute, wasn't he?

There is but i have not even gotten them off the camera yet.

No worries, whenever you get to it is fine.

it was a joke about showing off...

OK now I sort of remember. The time on stage was a bit of a blur......

And you did well! Everyone heard you!!!

That's good, I think Johnny there leaned in so I was on his mike.

i saw that...

I wondered how obvious the stumble was but at least I managed to save myself before going down on my face.

COME ON! look how happy you are!!! that is worth millions!

I will admit I was having a blast at that point!

That ain't no joke...

My big kid also had a blast with the washboard when we went in 2013.

Awwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

It really was!

Me too!!! I think i had more fun watching you then anything!!!

I'm so glad you guys had a good time. Especially after my nightmare where you guys hated the whole thing. :rotfl2:

awww your very welcome.. and THANK YOU for putting up with my crazy family.

There was no "putting up with" there at all, I loved every minute.

which took a while...

That's too bad, I thought you guys would make it back long before me. At least you got to see some more Christmas lights!

The HDDR looks like so much fun. My mom claims we did this when I was younger, but I really don't remember. Hopefully I can do this one day with my kids. It looks like a great time. What level seats did you have?

I definitely recommend taking your kids, it's a blast! We were Category 1. We sat Category 2 in 2010, our table was towards the back and off to the side a little. In 2013 Jim and I sat Category 3 in the balcony. None of the seats were bad but the ones along the sides in the balcony sit all in a row side by side. It wasn't bad for Jim and I but more than 2 people would be hard cause you can't really talk to one another.

Just found your TR and I'm loving it, especially your starring HDDR role :goodvibes

Thanks for joining in! Glad you are enjoying the TR.

It was a bit of shock to me too! I really did have a good time even though I was a bit scared up there! I almost booked it for Jim and I for this next trip but I couldn't really fit it into our plans.

I am a bit behind here...

First off - I love your AoA pictures... I've visited AoA once - but didn't get to explore each area. I am NOT a huge Cars fan - but I do agree that the Cars area and themeing is the best of all of them - it's just so fun!

Miss you all terribly!

D~

All of AOA is fun, I really want to stay there someday.

I think you guys would love the HDDR. I think it's worth the price because the food and drinks are unlimited and the show is awesome.

There isn't a day that goes by when I don't wish we all lived closer to each other.

I loved how the Lion King area felt like you were in the middle of the jungle, so cool.

Awesome that he got to be the Indian, it really is fun to be in that show.

I came here from Mo's TR. I loved the HDDR pictures. So, I spent all morning yesterday catching up on your trip report. I have been enjoying it so far. Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hi and welcome! Thanks for coming over and catching up and glad you are enjoying the TR!

Found your TR the other day and now am caught up so I can comment. I have really enjoyed hearing about your Trip so far.

Fun experience at Hoop de Doo! I have been there a couple times in the past, hoping to go again on a future trip.

Hi! Thanks for joining in! I did try the pretzel rolls at Biergarten in 2013 and found them pretty dry and not as tasty as the Le Cellier ones. We are eating at Biergarten again in a few weeks and I'll have to try them again. Hopefully I just got a bad batch last time.

Soaring and Sailing Through the Land

I was up at 6:30 am on Sunday, November 15th and out the door by 8 am. I brought a box of cheerios with me and had purchased a small bottle of milk on a previous day so that was my breakfast on most days.

I walked right onto a bus to Epcot and was in line at the entrance at 8:30 am. They were already letting people into the park at that time. I was meeting up with Suzi and her son Bradey (solana131), D (DMGuerts) and Mo and family and was very excited to see them all. D and I did meet up in Knoxville a while ago but I had never met Suzi. They were all running a little late though and I really wanted to ride Soarin’ since it would be closing for an extensive renovation. This trip would be my last time to ride it with the current movie. So I headed on into the park and let them know I would meet them in the Land building.

When we made it to Starbucks and were held there at a rope until closer to 9 am. No one else had made it to the park yet so I got in line for Soarin’ by myself.

I enjoyed the ride as always but I am glad they are fixing the movie since there are so many black spots. I’m really looking forward to the new movie.

When I got off I had a message from Suzi & D saying that they were in the Land building but had decided to get breakfast instead of riding Soarin’ because the line was too long. So I headed towards Sunshine Seasons to meet up with them. I saw them in the checkout line and D and I might have squealed a bit and ran at each other. It was so good to see her again and to finally meet Suzi in person.

Since they were eating I decided to grab a banana and a soda. I definitely needed the caffeine after the late night and early morning.

We ate and chatted and then Bradey wanted to ride one of his favorite rides, Living With the Land. I didn’t mind at all because I really like that ride too. And as always I took a ton of pictures.

One thing I love about this ride is it changes constantly. In all the times I’ve ridden it, I’ve never seen these Snake Gourds before.

Mo and her family where still making their way to the park so we exited the Land and headed towards Figment which had no line as usual.

We spent some time playing in the exit area. Here’s Bradey and Suzi playing and I also made some music with Bradey.

Then we headed outside and D and Bradey played in the fountains while Suzi and I watched. If you’ve read my past reports you may remember that I hate being wet and avoid water rides and squirting fountains most of the time.

Then we had Bradey take a picture of the three of us. And no, we did not plan the red shirts for the day!

We got a message from Mo saying they were on the way to our location so we started watching out for them.

Up Next: Finally, the Epic DIS Meet
