I can't believe that I just planned another vacation to DLR. I haven't recovered from the last one yet!!!! I haven't ordered my Photopass CD or even finished with the pictures yet. I haven't begun thinking about writing a TR, and I am in the process of moving in 2 weeks!!! Am I crazy???? I was able to get the Ent. rate at HOJOs for my entire trip, so I guess the family is going again!

It's the DSE Syndrome: Disney Snowball Effect.

How was the trip you just finished, Naomi? I assume it must have been great if the DSE kicked in!!:lmao:

What's even better is planning another trip before you're done planning your first trip! Which is what I intend on doing!

Oh what the "dreaded" (:lmao:) snowball does to all of us.

I must really have DSE because I have two trips (OK, actually three) planned right now. We'll be there May 30-June 6, October 17-24, and again the last week in May 2010. The first two trips are already booked at the HoJo Entertainment Rate. Honestly, I think that incredible hotel rate actually contributes to the DSE! :rotfl: I love DL and feel so lucky that my family and I can keep going back. It's not a problem and I don't intend to solve it. I love the snowball!!

Hee hee! :lmao: I know what you mean - I succumb to the DSE when there is a good hotel rate too. I need to get on the DSE bandwagon. Since my 2 trips to DLR last year, I have none in the works right now. The DSE has avoided me so far, but when it gets closer to the Fall and Holiday seasons, just call me 'Miss DSE'! I can't resist the giant Mickey pumpkin or the giant Christmas tree!

Honestly as a general rule I start planning the next trip while I am still at Disneyland. My husband is usually on a Disney high and much easier to talk into going again. Read as easier to manipulate.

That's it! Hit 'em while they are weak and don't suspect a thing!:lmao: :lmao:

Yes, Sherry, we did have a great time despite the cold rain!!! The last two days of our stay, we were upgraded to a character quarters room. The kids didn't want to leave the room, and since it was raining that cold, damp, all day rain; it was very convenient! We decided to try HOJOs this time, since everyone seems to rave about it and ent. rates were just released for Sept. My dd says that she can get many more souvies because the room is so cheap! HA HA HA!!!!

I was at WDW Jan. 20 - 27 with my wife and two kids. Then I went to DL on Feb. 7 by myself. Now I'm contemplating going March 9 and 10 with my wife and kids! Yeesh.

Anybody know how busy it will be on March 9th and 10th? I know its Spring Break for us in AZ, not sure about CA and whether it will be nuts.

I hear there's a big all female trip happening in, oh, 15 days or so.:rolleyes1 :yay:

That's exactly what I am doing. We leave in 11 days and I'm already planning our first Holiday trip for December.

Ok, so I think I have the DSE effect going on as well. We went in Jan, came back and immediately booked the Feb and March 6-9 dates and our May dates, went Feb 6-9 and ON THE DRIVE HOME planned to drive back the 14 and stay that weekend.....yes, we have been bitten hard by the Disney Bug. LOL The funniest part, it's always DBF that starts planning our next trip....but speaking of, we need to get our Dec. trip booked and our July trip figured out......and our (probably) October trip and Halloween costumes. LOL

Naomi, I'm sorry we didn't get to meet up before, we got in really really late that Friday night, we got to the parks with enough time to get the girls APs activated and do 1 ride....that was it.

That's ok, Kerri. By that time, I had a good cold going on. In fact, I finally broke down and went to the doctor a couple of days ago. I couldn't believe all that rain! Maybe, Sept. will be better, but being at Disney is great no matter the weather! DD is looking forward to the water area at HOJOs. I can't imagine going as often as you have/are going. We are only a couple of hours farther than you. I'm glad you can do it! Your kids are lucky!

.

When are you guys going in December? I think we're changing our dates to 12/9-12/11.

I almost fell through the floor last week when same said husband suggested our December trip. I even teared up. When I asked why later he said becasue he knew how important it was to me.

Thank goodness I'm not alone!! So there is an actual name for this sickness??? DSE - sounds serious - and incurable!:goodvibes

I was so excited when looking yesterday on our local School Division website and discovered that they have released the school calendar for next year - I began updating my calendar on my laptop and planning which weeks/weekends we can go to DL in 09/10! :woohoo: Pretty sad, huh? I just figure, if I can convince Dh that we will go back at least once more before 2010, I can fandangle AP's out of our *possible* May trip, and then keep "surprising" the family with DL trips! I desperately want to go for the whole Christmas decoration experience, but there's no way dh would agree to more than one trip in a year w/o AP's.
Best of luck - I think there's a pretty good support group here for us victims of DSE!:lovestruc
