I can't believe this advice

From the TLC show Clean Sweep. I admit that I have tons of junk and probably would be a good canidate for the show except there is no way I'd let them see the mess or decide what I get to keep!

This was one of their tips and there is no way this would be something I'd do. I keep my negatives in a fire box, my biggest fire fear is that I'd lose my pictures!

Photo negatives can be tossed once you get pictures scanned into a computer. You will never need the negatives again.

Probably the wrong group to ask but would you ever toss negatives? They don't take much space at all and are very easy to store.

Not me! I never toss them....I still have little kids!!!!!!!!!! they are worse than any fire! (J/k) I've had my kids actually write on one of a kind photos or rip a pic that they've gotten their little chubby hands on! ....and of coure the pics I just adore I can't even find the negatives for!...(they are really old pics)

Oh, did you ever see the Oprah show where this woman had Oprah come and organize her moms apartment....They took out like 15 TONS of stuff!!!!!!! I thought I was bad until that show! lol

I have never thrown out any of my negatives, I also keep them in a fire box.

I have neg. Floating around this house everywhere! I do have almost 3 years of pictures on Snapfish and I think I may have them put it on a disc and then put that in a firesafe box.

When I get a new computer I may try to convince hubby that I need that little negative scanner - then I can like Spinning burn them to cd's and put them in a fire safe box!

OMG, I saw that too. I know I'm bad - I got the "Pack Rat Gene" from my parents - so I really know how to store a lot. But that woman was rediculous!!!

I tossed them BS (before scrapbooking!). Now I'm cautious about keeping them organized and safe! Unfortunately I don't keep up with it as much as I like, but I'm sure to keep everything. Can't imagine ever needing them....but you never know.

NEVER!!! My old ones are a mess (in a shoebox), but I'd never, ever throw them away ... besides I have plenty of other junk that needs to be tossed first, LOL!

When I was a baby, there was a fire in the house we lived in. All except one of my baby portraits were destroyed. You can bet on it that I keep negatives!
