Well, if she was honest, no one was having their arm twisted to send her money. Why not? It beats bankruptcy or sitting on the end of the freeway exit with a sign, maybe.

If it worked for her, ands it seems like it did, more power to her. I don't see anything wrong with asking. I wouldn't have sent her any money, but I don't begrudge her ingenuity, either.

I think it was smart of her to come up with this idea, but I agree with those of us who think the people who sent her any money are idiots. Why don't they look around their own community and give the money to people who can't afford to buy food and other necessities?
