I cannot wait for winter to be over so I can pack away the endless piles of snow pants, jackets, boots, mittens, scarves, and hats. And then I can unpack all the flip-flops and send everyone outside in under a minute instead of it taking forever to get ready.

For those of you that cant wait for your kids to be out of school, mine will be done this week yahoo!! Super long summer vacation here we come! Unless of course we decide to only take a month off and get the next grade level started

So I can sit in the sun and my hair can lighten up. I know, I could go to my hairdresser and have it done, for a price. But then when people ask me if my color is natural I'd have to either say no, or I'd have to lie and then kill them. My hair is getting darker every year, but, like me, it's slow. By the end of the summer it has so many natural highlights that I don't even know what color to say it is, so I'm ready for spring so the process can begin because I look like I need a root job...bad!!!


Geez, that sounds like such a self centered, vain reason! And I guess it is, but from this 45 yo woman who has been a mom for 18 years, I deserve it!

OMG, I can so relate....... I thought I was an awful mother!

I am looking forward to "winter" being over so I can start using our pool again - it's getting warmer every day!

On the other side, I do love "winter" for doing the parks and other activities that it's just too darn hot and crowded for in the "summer" Jun-Aug - that's when I stay home and enjoy the pool!

We've hardly even had winter here

so I can:

plant flowers
open my pool
sit outside without freezing
let my kids get more fresh air
get the sled out of the garage
walk outside without a coat
stop freezing while I'm waiting for the bus with DD
so my hands aren't cracking and bleeding anymore (very dry)
stop fighting with DD to wear a hat
get a tan
float in my pool
eat outside again as a family
get out of the hottub and not have to run to the house
stop wearing sweaters and start wearing tank tops
wear flip-flops again
DIS while sitting outside on my porch
go for bike rides with my kids


I could go on and on forever!! I am not a snow bird and I don't like winter - summer time is the best time of year!!! (for me that is )
