booked Disney instead!!!!!
This is kind of a "funny" story...
When we started planning our vacation this year we finally decided on a cruise. After Disneyland last September, a short trip I went on with a friend to Disney in October and then the Disney Half Marathon this past January, we decided to go on a cruise this year.
I started looking at cruises and we settled on one that left Orlando on July 26. I kept holding out on booking for a couple weeks because for some reason something didn't feel right. I started looking at other cruises and found one that left Aug 30. It was much cheaper and even though it was s ship we had already been on, the ports were different. I asked off those days for work and then we booked it. Not even two days later I found out what the reason was... I'm a wedding photographer and I got a call that a Bride wanted to book me for her July 26th wedding. I was so happy that I went with my gut when it didn't feel right.
So...the cruise planning began. I picked out excursions and even contacted excursion companies at the ports we were going to. All the time I was wishing we could go to Disney.
Theeeen......Free dining announcement was made! I didn't mention it to my husband for a few days because I knew it would be hot in Fl and I was afraid he would be too excited.
When I finally mentioned it to him I was so relieved I had finally said something. We talked about it and decided we would just stick with the cruise. Dang it.
This past Friday it hit me that something about the cruise didn't feel right and that I needed to rethink our plans. I brought it up to my husband again and told him what I was thinking. We hadn't made our final payment on the cruise yet so we decided I would call them to find out what the penalty was for canceling. They were so helpful with canceling and so that's what I did. As soon as I got off the phone, we booked Disney!!! I felt better already.
So....here is what we booked...
We booked ASMu...(our honeymoon hotel), Aug. 31- Sept 6. we got the dining plan for free but we upgraded to the plan with one quick service and one sit down, we got MYW package and added Water Parks.
We are both happy that we changed our plans.
We plan to go to the water parks maybe the first part of most days then spend the evening in the parks. I'm hoping to try some new restaurants this trip. Our least favorite park is EPCOT so I'm hoping to love it more by taking time to look at everything it has to offer.
We know it will be hot, but we are looking forward to it!!
