I CAN SEE MY DAS IN MY MDE RIGHT AFTER APPROVAL !!!

After it was all said and done ...
- On Disney APP on phone
- Go to your main personal page that has the tiles (Tickets, LL, Reserve Dining, Order Food etc)
- Scroll down to "Chat with Us"
- In the chat she put my Effective Date, Expired Date, Maximum Party Size

It is 2 days later and I can still see my chat portion. Obviously the CM has to put that in there but it would seem likely it is standard procedure. Either folks have been missing this or it is an upgrade to the program or I got good CM. I imagine over time we will see it improve with guest/cm input but was still surprised.

I am presently 2 hours away from WDW, I have not scanned in to any park. My AP does not allow us to go to parks on weekends. We do have a MNSSHP ticket for tonight. DAS was approved with today as it's effective date.

My DAS tile showed up on the app, I thought a glitch as I've seen it flash in past. It stayed. I opened it and I can see all the rides that we can get a return time for.

I have seen the DAS tile randomly show up occasionally before scanning in at a park also but never saw the chat w/ an effective date. I hope that is a standard thing now. Its nice to have that reassurance. Thanks for sharing the info and have a great trip!

Yes I have had it show and disappear before. Not only did it come on, stay and *allows me access to all the pages .... I'm not even close to Disney property, have not gotten to hotel or a park, did not scan a usable ticket today and have not been in a park in 6 mo. Be great if this was a future feature.

*Usable was a confusing word. All pages opened, return time offered to me but didn’t allow me to “close the deal”. Still so much more than was accessible before.

I just did the DAS call last weekend and was approved for my daughter but that doesn't show in my chat. Hopefully it all is fine when I check in.

Oh wow I didn't realize it was usable! Did you grab a return time for something and test it out?

No, you cannot. My DAS showed up in MDE the same day I was approved under the new system too… but as soon as I “tested it out” by choosing a ride, it immediately recognized that I had not yet entered a park & therefore did not qualify for a return time (exactly like the old system- and how it should be, IMO). The only thing I wish they’d add as a feature is to be able to grab a return time for a different park (if you have an AP or PH tix) before actually tapping into the new park. For me, a person who requires a midday medical break… it would be really nice to have something “waiting for me” at a different park, since I am allowed to have something “waiting for me” at my initial park.
Maybe someday pixiedust:

Most people probably don't look at chat once they are done with it, but the past text chats you've done are visible. I can scroll back and see the text portions of all the DAS chats I've done for DD since they started doing virtual chats.
That is why the CMs tell you not to type medical information into the text chat portion - it would be available to anyone who is able to view your chat.
That includes CMs you might be on chat with for any other reasons.

The part that's new is the CM adding a note with effective date, expiration, party size, etc.
A lot were going back into chat/DAS registration just to ask those things, so it makes sense to put it in proactively

It's not usable until you have scanned into a park.
Our last trip was in April, but the same thing has happened since DAS became digital many years ago.
Once we scanned into a park for the first time, the DAS tile remained visible until it expired. I was also able to the DAS Eligible attractions, but not actually book any because the app 'knew' I (my DD) wasn't scanned into a park

I can, but nowhere in the chat does it show I was approved. It has a link to their guide for quiet locations, etc. But she was approved, they took her pic, etc.
Maybe it was just my CM or something new that not all are up on yet.

For folks going forward, if approved, I'd ask for CM to put Effective Date, Expiration Date and Maximum Party Size in the Chat too so one has that for reference later. Can't hurt to ask.

No I did not try since I didn't need one. What I meant as usable is that the tile was there and the offerings were there even though I was not at Disney. It could have been just the tile and when I tapped it nothing appeared, but it did.

That is something completely different than before when the tile wouldn't even appear until you scanned in your first park.

I just kept playing to see what would happen (I'm in hotel room) and it goes through all the motions of offering a time and letting me go to select guests. It let's me select me BUT it does not let me select the DAS holder - I assume because he hasn't scanned in park. So that remains the same. The change is the advance viewing even though he has not accessed a park at all this trip.
