Good news! MRI scan was clear of any sign of tumor, aneurism or stroke! So very happy for him that it was nothing major!
So now that it knocked those three things out, the doctor gave us two things this could be. A viral infection into the hearing fluid itself that really messed him up but there is no way to prove that with blood work or it could have been a blood clot but he really doesn't think it was that. The only thing that can be done for now is to wait it out and see what his ear decides to do over the course of the next few months. He is very positive his hearing will not return and the ringing he is hearing will remain. However, he is pretty certain that over the next 4-6 weeks the dizziness that he is feeling will go away due to compensation from the fluid in his right ear. The doctor is very concerned about his right ear though and making sure to keep it as healthy as possible and if there is any sign of hearing loss or vision loss to get in right away. And for now, the doctor is placing no restrictions on him so he can still coach (and he can still go to Vegas)
We are of course beyond thrilled with the results and are so thankful to those of you that prayed for us and thought about us during this timeI feel like I/we can now get back to normal around here and in perfect time, since tomorrow is DH's last day of work before Spring break.
Thanks again everyone!![]()
