I called Monday for a last minute HH reservation (m)

for the week after Easter, no less! LOL. I just have to get out of here! 4 inches of snow the night before last, and rain today turning to snow tonight!!!! AARRRGGGGGHHHH.

Anyway, I was put on the waitlist, and was told that the wait list is only good up until 7 days before your check-in date. So that just gives me this week for a call. Anyone know what the chances are? Is it rare that people cancel two weeks before arrival? Or does anyone know if Disney holds onto rooms and then releases them to the last-minute people? ( kind of like concert tickets, a show could be sold out, but then a week before the concert, the forum releases more seats).

You didn't say what type of accomodation you were trying to get, but there are only 21 studios and 1bdr at HH and only 102 rooms total at the resort. I would think at this short notice that there are not going to be a lot of cancellations - did they say how many are on the waitlist ahead of you?? If you have your heart set on HH, you might check with CRO and see if there are any cash rooms available.
