I booked my DING backwards! DUH!

I am new to Ding.

Can you believe I booked my trip IN REVERSE??? I was SO excited, to get cheap PHL to MCO fares, I was shaking. And I messed up.

Now I have a credit, there were not flights available to book it in the correct order.

I am having nightmares that I may have gone to the airport clutching my backwards reservation!

I am lmao because I almost did the exact same thing...the only reason I caught it was because the flight time was different then what I had seen previously!!

I think most DINGs repeat so keep an eye out and you may find it again.

Another thing you can try is to talk to customer service or what ever they call it.

On our last trip I got a bit carried away with excitement in getting better and better DING prices and I cancelled and rebooked a couple of flights. Somewhere in my excitement by mistake I cancelled my husband's flight to Orlando and left his return flight there.

Poor DH called me in FL the weekend before he was to join me and asked if I really wanted him to come! I was confused until he told me that he had no flight there! Then I was in a complete panic!

I got on the phone with SW and they gave me the customer service number(that I can not find for you right now. SORRY!). I had to wait until normal business hours but the lady there said she was able to trace the credit card charges and my confirmations. She said she could see where I had made a mistake and they fixed it for me and gave me the original DING price which was over a $100 cheaper than what the flight would have cost if I had to rebook it a few days before travel!

So you might try talking to someone in SW and see if they can fix your mistake. They were wonderful with me!

OH, I have the full credit, I love the way that works online!

My DH will use it for his Las Vegas trip.

I booked on Spirit out of AC, just easier and I only needed one ticket.

I can totally see how you did that!! I just did the "cancel your reservation in one window, and QUICK, apply ticketless travel funds in the other window" to get the DING fare...OMG my hands were shaking SO bad I could barely type!! But I did it and now we have a $60 credit!!

I just did that this week too w/ my Hartford to Orlando trip!!! I'm glad you were brave enough to admit it. I was living in shame thinking I was the only one.

The only reason I noticed it was because I was trying to set up ME. I had to open the confirmation SW sent me and that's when I noticed. I hate to think what would have happened if I were going to rent a car. I probably would have waited until 24-hrs prior to the flight when I tried to print out my boarding pass and found out.

I got lucky because they repeated the Ding this morning! I was able to use my credit and get the same price. I hope this happens for you, too!
