This looks great! Glad you're finally there and the report has begun!

So, I'm intrigued by these parsnip crisps. I take it they're fried like potato chips but made out of parsnips?

Glad your anniversary dinner was wonderful!

Great to see so many of you on board :cloud9:

Well there's sun to be had and swimming to be done:yay: so back later for an update. Up next:

The day of waiting, flying, lots of waiting, flying, waiting and arrival at the Boardwalk.

The day of flying...

Up early to get to the airport. Flight number one (Heathrow to Toronto) was due to leave in 3 and a half hours. Arrived at the airport, checked in on the self check in machine wotsit, dropped the suitcases off (both under weight allowance :cool1: ) and then went to clear security. The queue was small and we were through quickly, my hair clip causing much fun in the scanner (metal with reindeers on) and the staff seeing if they could guess what it was. At this point only thing was on my mind - brekkie.

It turned up in the fun and yummy form of Yo! Sushi. If you don't have this in the states check out their website www.yosushi.com it is crazy in there. Didn't take any photos as we were still half asleep but basically lots of little dishes go whizzing past on a conveyor belt and you pick up a dish and eat it. The dishes are different colours and each colour has a price, we had lots of fun and a relatively healthy breakfast.

We went to the gate to get on the plane after a quick look round the airport shops with the usual array of UK souvenirs (shortbread, bears and Harrods bags seemed to be the bulk of it). The flight left on time and was uneventful, food was edible and the film choice was good.

Arrived Toronto airport and after discovering we could not leave the airport without filling in 2359 forms we set about finding out what Terminal 3 departures lounge had to offer. This turned out to be mostly seating. After a look round the few shops and even fewer restaurants we chose the pub for dinner. We then sat at gate 161 for a few hours before we found our flight was at 163, then 165, then not happening :confused3

Toronto was suffering lively thunderstorms so flights were grounded and some were cancelled. We were informed 5 minutes before our scheduled departure time we had a plane :thumbsup2 but no crew  They were trying their best to find some crew, the crew we were meant to have were stuck on a cancelled plane somewhere. 1 hour later a crew had been found and we took off into bouncy clouds and landed at Orlando 1 hour later than our expected time.

We found our cases and made for the ME. We checked in with the nice lady in the hideous ME uniform and then walked out to get on the bus. OMG we had forgotten how humid this place can be it was like a wall smacking you in the face :scared: Finally, 24 hours after leaving our hotel in London, we were on our way to the Boardwalk via CBR :yay: We arrived at the Boardwalk, shattered and ready for sleep, it was 3am. There was no queue at check in for once so this was quick. We got to our studio and crashed out.

Today's food
Me: chicken noodles, japanese pancakes, water, coke, airline meal (chicken - none left), spinach and ricotta pastry, 1 packet of Twizzlers, burger and fries, white wine spritzer.

DH: japanese beef, prawns, silly amount of wasabi paste (bonus points deserved methinks), water, sprite, airline meal (chicken - veggies not eaten), chicken pastry, ham and cheese sandwich, coke.

Disney day 1 - Epcot and MK

A 24 hour trip... yikes. But your destination is SO worth it! Looking forward to more. Hope you're rested up!!

Just found your TR today & I can't wait to read all about your adventures.:cool1: 3 weeks sounds like heaven on earth.:cloud9:

First of all you had me at double sausage McMuffin hold the egg...I dont do the egg either but you can get it as a DOUBLE?! Holy Moly I did not know that!

Cannot wait to hear all about your trip, I am so jealous, 3 weeks of WDW! Thats better than winning the lottery, ok maybe not, but really close to it!

Thanks all for the kind comments :goodvibes

Woke up at 7am after 4 hours sleep  At home it would be noon so that would be a good lie in! The 7.30am ADR for Cape May wasn't going to happen so I left DH as he was still snoring. I took a walk along the Boardwalk and found:

It was a gorgeous morning the boardwalk was quiet except for the odd crazy jogger and caffeine addicts in search of a morning brew.
Bought DH a blueberry muffin and went back to the room, he was awake (just). We walked to Epcot and arrived there for just after 9. Got fastpasses for Test Track as the queue was already up to 30 minutes when we got over there. Had a ride on the new and improved Spaceship Earth - I like the changes. The burning scene still stinks though  After that we walked across to Sunshine Seasons for brekkie, I wasn't that hungry so I went for the cop out and got a kiddie meal, DH got a proper breakfast. I wish they would offer more options without egg I HATE EGG!
My breakfast, a ham and cheese sandwich, carrot sticks and applesauce:

After this we looked at the wait time for Soarin (or as DH calls it Borin) and saw 60 minutes. DH declined the offer to stand in a queue for an hour so we headed back to Test Track. We were straight on and after a quick spin round the track arrived back at the unload area looking slightly windswept. As we were both tiring by now, a trip back to our villa for a nap was required so we trundled back along the path to the Boardwalk and slept for a while.

MK was next up so we caught a bus, I wanted to see the new HM. We went straight there and waited about 20 minutes to ride. Liked the new footprints on the stairs bit :) Also rode TTA, Carousel of Progress, Winnie with Fastpass. Had dinner at Pecos Bill, the new buns were good in both our opinions and TBH I couldn't tell much difference after loading it with stuff of the fixins bar. Both had a double chesseburger with fries. No piccies as you all know what a WDW burger looks like ;)

Shattered we headed back to the Boardwalk and DH went for a swim and to get a snack from the bakery. By the time he got back I was already asleep so my snack became tomorrow's brekkie.

Up next:
Who will win on Toy Story Mania? Where will we end up eating lunch?
