Trip Report I believe in magic TR May 16th to May 19th

I am really suffering with post Disney blues now hoping doing this will cheer me up.

Day 1

The holiday really started on the 15th of May we had packed up the car the night before ready to get up on the Wednesday am to get up and go to Manchester from Glasgow. The car journey was nice and easy went in quite quick kids were occupied with Disney dvds. We arrived in Manchester just after lunch time and headed straight to the Trafford centre i am in love what a great centre we had got tickets for the legoland centre kids had a great time there we spent quite a while there then walked around the centre. We had planned to go to the Hard rock cafe infact had been quite looking forward to it but when we got to the door it was booked for a private function boooo so we went for some mexican food instead. We were booked into the travelodge close to the airport would stay there again was clean and comfortable we had the kids in bed at 7 which is an hour earlier but it took till 9 for them to go to sleep lol.

Day 2 disney day woohoo

My alarm went off at 3am ready to get ready for our 6.10am flight woke the kids at 3.30 and they were very excited. we got to the airport we had booked through Air France but it was flybe we were flying with we printed off our boarding pass and drinks vouchers it took a while to do the bag drop off but was uncomplicated.

Flybe were great took to the front of the line because of the children i had took our city mini pram and this was aloud to go on as hold luggage. The kids were great on the flight i had made them goody bags which really helped.

When we arrived at cdg the que for passport control was soooo long it would have took about 45 minutes to get through easily at which point a very kind woman came running up to us to tell us to go through the sky priority gate which took 5 minutes we love you hehe.

As soon as we got our bags the lovely man from RS Transport was waiting for us we were pulling up to the Newport Bay Club check in was quick and easy left our bags and went on our way its just after 10.

1st stop Earl of sandwich the kids got a cheese sandwich and me and Lenny got the cannonballs the food came quick was hot ate it really quick though because we could not wait to get to the park.

When we got past the turnstyles i got my 5 year old Lucy to close her eyes and Lenny started to film we put her at the top of Main st and told her to open her eyes i will never forget that moment i got a tear in my eyes Esmerelda was to the right of us so we ran quickly to get books but by the time we did that she was gone noooo. We headed straight to the castle and into Fantasyland it was quite buzy at first but soon got really quite yippee our first ride Casey jnr i found this ride and the story book ride was often quieter.
It was just total bliss we went on quite alot we bumped into the train a couple of times and met Donald Daisy and Minnie on that first day no scrums hurray i wasnt even going to let the kids to these meet and greets because i didnt want to hurt someone for pushing my kids but they were very relaxed and friendly.

We got our room key and we liked our room the beds were big we also discovered that the beds a loose and can be pushed towards the wall so we put our two year old in at the wall side and pur daughter at the other side and they were comfy and safe. We also had to do this below as when the doors were open on the telly cabinet the were perfect head banging size for my two year old.

We ate at restaurant des stars the kids liked it but i didnt quite find it fresh enough but i would try it again might just have been bad timing Lenny ate three plates of desert though lol.

We then headed back to the park it was really quite pleasant weather we got on loads of rides it amased me how much my kids loved all the rides my 2 year old doesnt really like rides but loved them in Disney and went on everything he was aloud on. He fell asleep in his pram at his normal bed time i bought him a blanket from the shop. We then decided to grab some food before dreams. We went to Cafe hyperion the food wasnt quite hot enough and Lenny had a bit of a dodgy tummy afterwards but it was nice to watch the cartoons and chill out a bit. I was amazed my daughter had lasted all day with no sleep but started to fall asleep just before dreams. As soon as it started though she was wide awake ans said tinkerbell had woke her up dreams was just amazing i cried i laughed i sang i danced with Lucy wow just wow left the park feeling so happy and content tired but ready for the next day. x

I will get more on tomorrow. The Npb was great i would stay there again we didnt get the chance to go to the pool. Yeah we saw so many characters we even had to get Lucy a 2nd autograph book we had so much luck. Any1 know how i can stop my pix being squinty lol x

I always use photobucket to upload my photos and they seem to come out ok - I think there is a setting for the size and stuff.

They went in different directions when the train stopped infront of castle.

I forgot to add before we even got into the park Lenny waited outside the entrance of disneyland hotel while i ran inside to book the princess makeover. When i got inside the shop a very helpful CM took me around to help me select the things included in the package i went for the 145 euro package she got her cinderella dress, tiara, wand, hair, makeup, photo. She then took me to the counter to pay and book the time slot they are 20 minute slots in the book we had 1pm booked for auberge so i went for 12 for makeover. Everything was put in a big bag when i got out Lucy asked what was in the bag i said nothing just got a bag incase we needed to put things in it i then put bag under pram and off we went.

Day 3 our first full day in disney

My alarm went off at 6.30am to get ready for our 7am breakfast slot i took 10 minutes to get ready when the phone rang at 6.40 it was mickey mouse hurrah i put the phone straight to Lucys ear to wake her up. When she sat up she noticed something on the bedside cabinet it was a note she asked me to read it i then read out the note it was from Lucys fairy godmother telling her she was going to be a princess for the day she was so happy her daddy filmed her face while i read it out her little face was just a picture.

We got ready and went to breakfast in the yacht club the breakfast was fresh and there was lots of it. After breakfast we headed to the park the weather was lovely we all had our shorts and tshirts on.

When we got into the park i was so excited i have never stayed onsite before i was amazed to see how quite it was .

We headed to fantasyland it was nice for things to be quite my son enjoyed the space to run wild . Our first stop peter pan one of my faves the kids loved it we did all the usuals all walk on then headed over to buzz my little boys face when he saw Buzz was just amazing his little jaw dropped i was amazed at how well he did on this holiday i really wasnt sure how he would be but he honestly got just as much out of it as my dd. Daddy always had the highest score though booo. it was getting close to ten so we decided to each have a turn on space mountain it was a walk on so didnt bother with baby switch. I remember when i was 11 in the countdown to my 1st disney trip getting measured on the edge of the door at my grans over the summer to see if i was going to be tall enough on my 1st trip i wasnt tall enough boo i was the next year though woohoo i take great pleasure in everytime i go on space mountain now lol.

We then head over to big thunder mountain it was up as 20 minute wait so decided to do it we did baby switch for my ds me and Lucy went in que and Lenny and Lewis went to the exit. I found out on this holiday just how cool and fearless my dd is this trip she loved it and happily went on with her daddy when we got off. We decide to head down to the Pocahontas village to let the kids have a little play on our way down we bumped into some familier faces.

This was just outside the cowboy cookout great interaction daisy was also there very friendly quite meet brilliant

We then went to the village the kids loved it here we let them play for a wee while.

It was now time to head to the hotel for the princess makeover.

As we walked towards the hotel i told Lucy i hadnt told her the truth when i said there was nothing in the bag i told her it was a magic bag just now it only had her little bros costume but when we got into the big pink hotel that some magic would happen and then maybe there might be something there for Lucy she walked very fast now lol.

As we got close to the hotel we saw a small crowd who was it

We got into the hotel there are toilets just inside on the right hand side my oh took my ds to get change his bum and get his prince costume on i took Lucy into the ladies i did the whole wow Lucy look and took each item out 1 by 1 leaving the dress till the end she was so excited i had took my own silver sparkly pumps ...... sorry glass slippers with me and some cute white frilly socks when she was ready we headed upstairs. There was a little girl just finishing off her make up we stayed back to give them there space. Soon it was Lucys turn

Lucy chose to have her hair in a bun the lady was so nice i asked if i could take pics of the makeover and she was more than happy with this she was so gentle with my dd it was so lovely to watch

While Lucy was getting her makeup done the next little girls mum and dad brought her into the makeover area to sit even though there is a couch outside it i was a little annoyed as i had gave the person before us some space it would have been nice to have the same space in some of the pics i took of her getting her makeover you can see them in the pics but never mind i wasnt going to let anything spoil this when she was finished i was so overwhelmed she was a real life princess.

My oh had sat just outside with our little prince i asked the photographer if we could have our ds in some of the pics he said yes no problem he then let us take our pics 1st
