I appologize to anyone who felt I was being nasty or childish the other day. I never had any intention of hurting anyone's feelings, and I don't want to lose friends because of a bunch of misunderstandings. Knowing so many of you think poorly of me is making me ill. Can we please call a truce? After that mess, I promise I'll be more careful about what I post on the DIS.

For the record, chatting with friendly guests is my favorite part of my job, and most of them make me smile.

No need to apologize AB. If I had to stand in the hot Florida sun all day and tell people to stop sitting on railings, I would go stark raving mad in short order. And working across from that Dole Whip stand and watching people enjoying floats all day long....I just couldn't do it.

Hope the audition went well. I didn't get a chance to ask you about it before we left for home.

I made a vow back in my twenties to NEVER work with the public again so believe me, I feel your pain.

That took a lot of courage, Angie. I was never offended by your original post. I, like many others, were only concerned for you (although I'm not sure if I posted on that thread or not ). I know there were many times I didn't want to take advice from others when I thought I was right. Many of us were, or still are, stubborn at one time or another. {{{{Hugs}}} to you for apologizing. That shows us all a special part of who you really are.

People were only looking out for your best interest, as we know how this board is monitored occasionally. It would be a shame to lose a job over a simple vent...but it's not outside the realm of possibility, unfortunately.

I agree Angie, it takes a big person to stand up and apologize! We all love you and only wish the very very best for you! I agree with Robin that working with the public can really be stressful at times! I worked at the Return Desk at Wal-Mart while I was in college and believe me.....UUGGHHH!! There were days I wondered if the people I saw actually took stupid pills before coming to Wal-Mart!!

And from experience I can tell you the my son, DH and I have overloaded on stupid pills at Disney!!

It's OK, Angie - I think most people were truly concerned that your vent could cost you your job. Just remember - vent all you want backstage with your co-CMs, but in public, you must always wearing your smiling Disney face.
