I am watching my dates for 7 month window Aulani

We wanted to go to Aulani June 8 2013. I found an Aulani owner and rented points from him. I was afraid I would not get the reservation we wanted. Today I can see through June 7 at Aulani. For that week four nights are not available from the seven, in the room that we wanted to rent. Tomorrow would be the first day I could book June 8 and then walk the rest of the reservation. I will not be booking it, I am going to watch to see if I would have been available to book. From here on the disboards, i learned the beginning of June is popular at Aulani due to less points required, so we decided to rent Aulani points and then our home resort points.
Was anyone from the disboards shut out from Aulani at their seven-month window?

Geez, I hope I can get in to Aulani in early June. We already have the tickets bought and points at the ready! I'll take any studio and right now at least, the Ocean View rooms are available but, like you, I plan to go the 8th so I'll start to look tomorrow.

We got all 10 nights we needed at 7 months but out trip was mid-end of April this year. We booked an island view... are you limiting yourself to a specific view??

We liked the Ewa ("EE-VA") Building and an island view would possibly give you a view of the Starlit Hui and the movies. I wouldn't restrict yourself to an ocean view. The whole place is fantastic, but because of the position of JW Marriott, I would definitely request the Ewa Building.

Ok, you are freaking me out. I'm just trying at our 7 month window at the first date of our planned arrival in HI. Our 7 month window opens in a few days and I need exact dates to flow with other parts of our trip and other obligations we have traveling on this trip. Ugh!!!! I can be more flexible in the room view, but not the dates or the fact I need a 1 BR. Keeping my fingers crossed! We were able to get VGC at 7 months to start the planned trip, so I'm still excited about that... but now the big one... Aulani! Good luck to others!

OP here. I checked tonight June 8 th is arrival date. June 8th is sold out . I would of needed to walk the reservation to have a chance. The ocean view is available for June 8 th, we just wanted standard view. For fun I checked studio and two bedroom standard view is also gone. Glad I went ahead and found an owner to rent from.

I booked a 1 bedroom ocean view at 7 months for February 14 without issue. I didn't check on the various other unit sizes or views though. Unlike you though, we did NOT book airfare until after we had the reservation. Then I ended up booking in a day early and staying on Waikiki for a night to get the air cost down.

As of now, our dates are still open (as much as I can tell from DVC website) and my 11 month window opens VERY soon! We haven't purchased airfare yet. We just have set dates that aren't overly flexible due to schedules and other places we need to be on the trip. Maybe can adjust one day either way.

It appears studios and/or standard views go faster at Aulani. That's the case at BLT, too. We own there and even booking at the 11 month window we've rarely received a standard view... usually for one night or so. That may change some with the reclassification of rooms there. I just want the 1BR at Aulani (and flexible on view), so I'm holding out hope! I was actually more worried about getting VGC for the first leg of our trip given the size of the resort. I think it worked in our favor wanting a 1BR as opposed to a studio. Hoping Aulani will be the same. I will know shortly!

I'm happy to report we booked our 7 night trip to Aulani right at the 7 month window today. Yea!!! No problems getting a 1 BR. Only problem is that online booking didn't complete the first time through so I was a bit stressed entering the reservation again. But reservation appears to be in our account now. I'm so excited!

Thanks! Two hours after we reserved, three of the nights were gone for all 1 BR except oceanview, which is the only one we didn't want due to points. So it does pay to know the demand of the room you want and be online at the 7 month window. Happy travels!

Good news. We were there in June 2012 and had to do 3 nights and 5 nights (studio/1 bedroom) to get all the nights covered.

We are waiting also for our 7 month window to open for Aulani. Either September or November, still a couple more months until we can see availablity (use year August).

Booked a seven night stay at Aulani for June. When I tried to book it first thing in the morning two days ago at the 7 month window, the days I wanted were not available. I kept getting shut out on the computer with a "not available" message. I looked again later that day, and I was able to book six consecutive days in 2BR OV we wanted. Member Services helped me add the seventh day the next morning.

Keep checking the member reservation site. Hope everyone gets the reservations they want!

I hope some of the good luck you all have been having will rub off. So far I only have one of the 7 nights that I need. I should have walked a reservation....but I did not think all of the dates would be gone.
