I am ready to spit nails. Because I am a nice person I am helping someone fund raise. It's a school function and they need to raise money to send a team of kids to a national competition. I have no children in this organization but I have been involved with these people in the past. I called and asked how I could help. The person is charge asked me to buy coffee supplies (they were going to sell coffee at a function). I borrowed a coffee pot and went to Gordon Food Services. This women told me to buy the creamer that comes in the little cups and to buy sweetner. I also bought cups and table coverings. I spent 37.00, the creamer alone was 15 dollars and the sweetner was over 5 dollars.

I told this women that she needed to return the coffee pot (borrowed from someone who has a child on the team) by a certain date as she needed to use it.

The coffee pot was returned but when they returned the coffee pot they also gave her the creamer and all of the coffee supplies.

Tonight I told this woman that I needed to be reimbursed for the supplies that I have bought (I also bought other things to the tune of about $150). She told me I needed to tell the person who has the coffee supplies that she owed me for the supplies. She didn't ask for these supplies and they were just given to her by mistake. The thing that really bothers me is that when I bought the supplies in the first place I told her I would just bring my coffee mate and sugar. No! I had to buy the expensive creamer and sweetner because she would just buy them for her DH's office.

I am really mad. I have done a lot for this team. I have volunteered my time and I am not going to ask for money from someone.

Thanks for letting me vent.

How frustrating. It sucks to be taken advantage of. I hope you get it straightened out.
