So we are going during free dining. We bought one of those WDW books that tell you details about WDW.

We are getting ready to make ADRs and while looking through the book it says about Yak and Yeti that they only participate o the Disney premium Dining plan and the Platinum dining plan.

So what did they give us for the free dining plan? Is Yak and Yeti not included in that? What are the other restaurants that are not included if we have some other plan?

We get 1 table meal, 1 counter service and 1 snack meal per day. What plan is that?

This is our first ever trip to WDW and we are still trying to figure out what everything means. Sorry for being ignorant on this issue.

Hi there-just wanted to help you undestand-its PER NIGHT-not day (this confused me a few years back) this is the Disney Dining Plan...so if you have a 6 night 7 day stay-you have 6 TS, 6 CS or QS, 6 snack per person...
So if you arrive ealry on you first day, and check out and leave late on the last day-you will not have enough food credits to cover the last day-and you will have to pay out of pocket. I didnt know that years back and we flew in and arrived by nine and the last day flew out at 8pm-so the last day we had no credits and paid ourselves...thnkfully we didnt spend all our vacation $$ :rotfl:

Yak & Yeti participates in the Disney Dining Plan. The book you are using is doubtless lumping them in with the other Landry's restaurants on property (the two Rainforest Cafes and T-Rex Cafe) which indeed accept only the premium and platinum package plan. While logical, it's still incorrect.

The Premium and Platinum Package Plans include dining but they are not dining plans. They also include all resort recreation, park tours, Cirque du Soleil tickets, golf, spa treatments, and a lot of other extras. You cannot get those free and they cost much more than the Disney Dining Plans do (well over $100 per person per night.)

You may wish to read the Everything You Always Wanted To Know sticky thread which you can find at the top of the Dining Plan forum.

Thanks everyone. Regrading the Night/Day thing however...If I have a 6 night stay and don't use all of my meal credits, can I still use them the day I check out?

Yes- you can use your meal credits until midnight of the day you check out.
