I am so tired of people who say all coupons are for junk!

I don't get the newspaper, but depending on whether or not the price of gas goes down -or continues to go higher - I might consider running out to the General Store at the lake on Sunday's to get it.. (No home delivery..) I'm just not sure if it's worth it though because I've found so many great internet sites and the small (free) paper that comes in the mail up there has the store ads for the only two stores I would be going to once my stock-up supply runs low..

Just a heads up, on holiday weekends there are no Smartsource or Redplum inserts in the Sunday paper. So, don't buy a paper tomorrow looking for the coupons. The Proctor & Gamble insert only comes out once a month and on occasion falls on a holiday weekend. Below is a link to the coupon schedule. Hope that helps!

Here are the good coupons I printed out today.

$2 off any Silk milk product
You have to register on the site. And to get the $2 coupon you have to take a survey. And you can print the coupon twice. I used my coupons at Kroger today. They have the Silk milk 1/2 gallons on sale 2/$5. So, I was able to get 2 half gallons for $1.

$1 off SO Delicious coconut milk
You have to register on the site and you can print the coupon twice.

Another $1 off SO Delicious coconut milk
I don't see it on this site anymore. But that may be because I already printed them off. The coconut milk is on sale at Kroger for $1.99 a half gallon. After coupon, that's only .99 per half gallon.

$2 off Viva paper towels
You have to "like" them on facebook, then play the Grab & Grasp match game. You have to play and win 3 games to get the $2 off coupon. And you can print the coupon twice.

I just took a look at that sight and is it just me or did they change the date of Christmas ?
December
4 — Smart Source, Red Plum and Procter & Gamble
11 — Smart Source and Red Plum
18 — No Inserts scheduled (Christmas)
25 — Procter & Gamble

:rotfl2:

You could get all those chickens all that juice and all those fresh vegetables for $50? Where do you shop? The juice alone would be around $30!

are the groceries in the picture the ones you say would cost $150? And that you had no coupons for the produce, or did I misunderstand?

No way that would cost that much. I could easily get it for the $50 you seem to have spent just by shopping loss leaders, and aldi's. Not to mention our farmer's market.

So am I confused?

:thumbsup2 Didn't you know? I guess nobody told you. Well, leave it up to us couponers to get the word out.;)

Anyway, the 2 Sundays surrounding Christmas, there are no Redplum(Valassis) or Smartsource coupons. As posted, P&G does their own thing.

Another good coupon deal this week if you have a Kroger nearby. If you go to Athenos facebook page and "like" it you can print out a coupon for "Buy One Get One Free Athenos Hummus". You can print the coupon twice. Kroger has Athenos hummus on sale this week for $1. Using the coupon, you would get 2 for $1. Plus, keep an eye out for peelie coupons on the Athenos hummus package for "Free Athenos Greek yogurt, up to $1.70" when you buy the hummus. So, cheap hummus and free yogurt!

:thumbsup2 thanks !

But they have Sunday the 18th as no inserts because of Christmas but then have inserts ON the 25th, which is Christmas.
I think you're missing the point that P&G prints on holidays, it's the other inserts that don't.

I think YOU are missing the point that the site says that there are no inserts on the 18th due to Christmas. Last I checked Christmas was the 25th. That's it. Nothing to do with P&G or Smartsource or RedPlum.

But coupons for the holiday are usually not printed the weekend before. Since the next Sunday would be New Year's holiday, there would still be no coupons except for P&G, which follows a different printing schedule.

Marionnette... sweetie... what is a "conscience?" Did you mean to type "conscious?" It's like an open zipper... you can't let a fellow dis'er walk away with their fly open.

Oh, whoopsie Clintswifey...did you misplace your dictionary? :goodvibes

I buy chickens for $3 when they are on sale and stock up. (When I run out of them from my chicken boy or when I am shopping for my mom.) Juice goes on sale for $1.19 or better yet $2 a gallon. Sweet potatoes on sale for $.39 a pound. bananas, $.39. And frozen veggies when they are on sale for $.89. Maybe a bit over $50, too tired to add it straight up. Now where near $150. That is the problem. It is like jewelry stores saying that you are saving 40% when they are using the absolute highest possible ever price.

I shop Krogers, Giant Eagle, and a local mom and pop store and the farmers market, or aldis. IN season the veggies would of course be cheaper. I can buy a box of tomatoes for $7. I pick the store with the best loss leaders and that is the store of the week. Menu is built around the pantry and the sales. :)

I have read so many posts of people "complaining" that their part of the country doesnt have the "good" coupons. Well, I have to chime in and say that after reading here and other post of the amazing deals that people get at farmers markets don't seem to be available here. $7.00 for a box of tomatoes in season!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!! I can't even imagine!!!

I know of tons of farmers markets in NH and NEVER see prices like that. If anyone on here knows of a farmers market that I am missing in NH, that truly has rock bottom prices PLEASE share! Whenever, I go to a farmers market the prices are usually higher than the grocery store, because you are getting fresher, better quality food! I would love to find a farmers market that actually sells their food for LESS than the grocery store!

I know i am lucky. I also haunt the place a bit since my sons will pick up spare cash working for the farmers occasionally. The tomatoes might be worth a trip to West Virginia during the season. :) It does help to make friends, though. Lol, I'd rather do that spend time hunting coupons and clipping away.

OK that may be true for you but not here. We do not have discount grocery stores here. And we do have a lot of farmer's markets, but they aren't cheaper than the stores at all, they are actually more expensive (but usually the produce is better).

But anyway, that stuff was bought in the middle of February, so not sure what would have been in season then. Our farmer's markets aren't even open then, and I'm in FL.

By adding up what you said you spent, you were already close to $50, and you left out a lot of stuff. And I've never seen prices like what you listed here in FL, maybe that is because we don't have discount groceries.

Anyway, I don't think my store is ripping anyone off or listing it at the highest possible price. They have a lot of things actually lower than other stores. And these are the prices that they charge all the other customers, so no matter how you want to word it, I *am* saving that much.

Also, this is not one of my better shopping trips. not by a LONG shot (I've actually had a negative balance before). It was just to show that you *can* save on healthy stuff, it's not all processed junk with coupons.

Not much more. Maybe $10. And considering few coupons on free, there is that factor.

The only "discount" grocery I hit is aldi's occasionally for veggies off season. And for the occasional bag of chips, lol. They do have the best.

I do think some of your recipes look great. We have bags of beans and I am always looking for a good bean recipe.

Well that is awesome you can get those prices without coupons then. :thumbsup2 If I could, then I wouldn't use them, as they do take a lot of time and effort (not really a lot of money, though, I spent $102 for the papers I get for the whole year, and they have more than paid for themselves already, many times over). But I *can't* get those prices without coupons so I have to if I wanted those prices. :)

I can't tell you the last time I paid $.39 for bananas. That isn't happening where I live. I wish it would, we go through a lot of bananas.

PS. I am in Florida too.
