I am so happy I just had to share!!! UPDATE PG2 POST 17!!!!!

LOL! she is a chewer right now too and after using the cup twice the spout is so gross looking from her chewing on it. I think after the weekend I am going to try one of the regular cups and see how that goes b/c she is also a thrower and these cups definitely do not hold up to that.

We have dear friends whose DS Matty has had a diet similar to Lilly's it seems, but they've been at it longer (their DS is now 13). After getting frustrated with baby food, they have made the stick blender Matty's best friend. His fav has recently been Stouffer's lasagne, plopped into the blending cup and pureed - yummy says Matty.

Our DS has a G-tube so we no longer have the feeding issues that Lilly and our pal Matty do, but can certainly empathise. Nice work on the Cup! Getting enough fluids is so important, so this breakthrough will help on that count, I hope.

If she likes to chew on things, you can go to teacher supply houses or special needs stores on the web and buy hospital-grade chew toys.

OR..if you don't want to go to all that effort, you can do what a ST suggested to us: Go to a petstore and get a decent grade rubber dog toy. Run it through the sanitize cycle on the dishwasher and let her have at it. :)

DS is a chewer..always has been. Right now we're trying to convince him not to chew on his shirt sleeves because he's chewing holes right through them.:scared1: He only does this at school though, because he's not allowed to have his chewies at school.
