being it is so cold in WDW right now! I was suppose to be in Disney on January 4th, but had a feeling about the weather and canceled it two weeks before! I booked it for May instead! I do not mind the cold weather, as I am in it right now! but I would hate to go to a warm state and NOT have swimming weather!! lol
so I no longer feel bad that I did cancel!;)

Whenever we go to WDW it's always in January.

But we're in Michigan, so "cold" in Florida is "balmy" to us! :rotfl:

And we're not interested in swimming, just the hot tub and those are always nice and hot so we don't care if the air temperature is on the cooler side.

We love going to WDW in January, the crowds are low to non-existant and THAT is the most important thing to us. :)

I'm feeling sorry for the crop farmers down there right now, with the strawberries, tomatoes, orange groves, etc. Trying to keep everything from freezing must be a hugely difficult job. And some have reported SNOW in Florida, isn't that just unheard of???

What is this thing called....global warming? Yeah, right.

I am headed down this afternoon. As long as it is warmer than it is here (6 with a -7 windchill) I will be happy. I figure that the weather they are having now is heavy sweatshirt weather for me, so no big deal

I was in Florida for the week after Christmas and didnt swim (or plan to swim) once
It was purely sightseeing the "old Florida"

It was just so weird, because the only OTHER time I went in January, it was back in 2001, and that is the last time they had that kind of weather! Now, if I did not have medical issues, then the weather would not be a concern, for of course...being in disney is just awesome anytime! But with the cold, (and I am in Mass, on coast) I am physically disabled! The pain, and walking is to hard. So that is why I need heat.

and yes, I feel so bad for the crops and what is all going on with that!! It must be heartbreaking, and it is like extreme wet weather here that distroy's crops!! I wish them luck!!
