I am SO ANGRY - Girl Scouts Rant (LONG): UPDATE Pg.12

Excellent! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: You accomplished two things: You've made sure that these two women won't do this again. At least, not with the GS organization. Most importantly, you've taught your DD to stand up for herself when treated unjustly. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 Way to go!!!!:cool1: :cool1:

I didn't read these posts thouroughly and you already answered my questions! sorry about that! So much to read and absorb here.

I am so glad this turned out the way it's supposed to in true GS fashion!

I am so happy to hear your daughter has a mom like you that is willing to do something so special. It sounds like your weekend will be amazing!

Much love from all of us

We started off last fall with a GS Troop of 15 girls. Right away we noticed a clique problem. We made name place tags and mixed them up and sat them at random places. Voila The clique dissolved! We lost three girls over the year but the ones remaining are a group of friends and are so much kinder to each other!

That's great news. You have done a wonderful service to your daughter and to Girl Scouts.
I agree that you should follow through with having your daughter meet the director. I have boys in scouts & know that they would be extremely reluctent to continue if they had been throug half of what your daughter has.

HI op!! How is it going? Any response from Mrs. Snottypants or the other parents.

Has there been any backlash for your daughter?

as someone who was a girl scout her whole life and even got her gold award. i was never treated this way by any of my leaders or anyone in my troop. i can't believe the nerve of some people. it sounds like this mom has nothing better to do with her time and finds her friends through her daughter because she can't meet any on her own.

glad to hear that you called the council and they responded well and want to help! if your daughter really likes girl scouting it's really nothing like this once you find a troop where people actually want to be there because they want to help people not a social hour!

I just found this thread and all I can say is WOW! I am so glad that you had a positive response from the CEO of the Council.
I am a life long girl scout and currently a leader. I love my scouts and really treat them as my own kids. I can't understand why a leader needs to pick on little kids. Please update us when you can.
Hugs to you and your DD.
