Ok, maybe not. So, I finally decided to purchase one of the beauties. I had to order it because I couldn't find a double one in the store. Anyway, it came in the mail today and while it's made of very nice fabric and easy to fold up, I have no idea how to use it!!! Is it supposed to go over my existing canopies because that will defeat the purpose for me. I was looking for something to replace my canopies. Help, please!:confused3

Yes, it goes over the existing canopies as they provide the structural support. It then stretches down beyond the front edges of the canopies to extend the coverage - it's not a replacement for your existing canopies but rather an extension. Make sense?

It's made of such a stretchy fabric so you can really pull it down fairly far. Here's a picture of a single (same concept) - see how it goes over the canopy and then pulls down to almost double the amount of shade:

Oh well then.

America, I am not smarter than the Rayshade.

Anybody want to buy one, gently used:) :lmao:

Just going to send it back. Oh well!

If your stroller is a common model and in good shape, you can probably buy a cheap stroller at a yardsale and take the cover and ditch the rest. I know that I have seen strollers go very reasonable around here- probably cheaper than it would be to buy a replacement hood from the manufacturer. The Rayshade covers the whole thing, so mismatching would not be a problem. The Rayshade is an amazing thing- really protects the those tender little legs from being fried in the hot sun. Good luck!!! I know it is so frustrating when things do not go as planned,:cool2:

I apprrciate that. I am going to try it over my existing canope. We'll see what happens:rolleyes:

I'm so glad you asked about the Ray Shade! Does anyone use this with a Mac stroller? I can't seem to get it to pull down in the front, it just sort of hangs straight off the front instead of being able to pull it down. What am I doing wrong? Please help!

CandCMommy--pull it far forward and then you can make it tilt down in the front. It's very stretchy.

I am definitely NOT smarter than Rayshade--I can install it and use it on my Peg just fine, but I have never been able to roll it back up into a position where it will stay rolled up. I had to smush it down underneath stuff in the suitcase to get it home.

I know nothing about the rayshade. I just love the title of your post. You made me laugh which is not easy today since my 3 year old decided to throw the fit of all fits at the mall. 50 strangers watching me push the one year olds stroller, carry the kicking and screaming 3 year old and ask the 4 year old to grab her shoes as she kicks them off. Fun times....
