while I easedrop on DH explaining to our 6mo old DD why he's leaving for Iraq this weekend. I feel so horrible because those two are ssooo close. Remy is more a momma's girl, while Holly is straight Daddy's girl. I think they are closer because DH was actually there when I had my c-section and saw Holland's birth (he cried). Remy was an emergency c-section so he missed it. I have been religiously video taping the past few days so that I can show Holly videos of her daddy so she won't forget him. Remy is in bed because she has her ballet recital early tommorrow and she is NOT a morning person. DH and her spent most of today together while I had the baby so they could get some alone time in. I don't think it has hit Remy yet that he is leaving. Last time it took a week or so (she has no concept of time and thought he'd be back soon). I bought her flowers for her recital today and they are putting a large yellow ribbon on them since DH is leaving. I arranged to pick them up in the morning so she will be surprised. I am trying to be strong and not get too emotional in front of the girls, but I admit it is getting harder. I think it might be a really good thing that I am heading to FL early to see our family because I really need the support. I am not making much sense right now and I am sorry to whine, but I hate to see him go.

I didn't read any whiny but if anyone has the right its you. Prayers for your family. And thank you so very much!!!

Go ahead and cry. We here at the dis will be your shoulder till he comes back. I don't have expirence with my husband leaving but do know how hard it will be. I will pray that god keeps him safe and keep you and your girls in my thoughts and prayers at night. Give your husband a big kiss for us for keeping us safe.

:sad1:. I have said a prayer for your husband, for you, and for your children. Please give your husband a sincere thank you from me for the sacrifice he is making. And thank you, too.'s for you all.

Tell him we all say Thank You for defending our country!:grouphug:

Hopefully, someone with some sense will end the madness of sending our men and women into harms way for this purpose. God speed to your husband and your childrens' father. I pray that sanity will prevail, and he, and all of the others, will return very soon.

My heart goes out to you, and all your family. I can only offer my thanks, admiration, and of course, prayer for safe keeping and return. So tough to read that, I do thank you all.

:worried: :sad1:

Your post just breaks my heart honey. I know you are trying so hard to be brave and carry on for your dear hubbie and girls. This has got to be one of life's biggest challenges,
to send hubbie/Daddy off to Iraq. May God grant your and yours the faith, strength and patience at this stressful time. Try to think positive and keep the faith.

May his guardian angel light every step of the way, as he defends our country. Thank you for your sacrifice. My prayers are with you and all the brave soldiers every step of the way.

Mommy -
Your Dis friends have very big shoulders and are here for you. :grouphug:

Godspeed ^i^
{{{hugs}}} Sandie

XO'z to Remy and Holly :cutie: :cutie:

I have said a prayer for your husband and your family and will continue to keep you in my prayers. I thank god each and everyday for brave men and women like your husband. From the bottom of heart I thank you both... God bless....

...for wonderful, brave men [and women] like your husband! I will definitely keep him in my prayers and hope that he doesn't miss too many of your daughter's "firsts" (first word, first step, etc.) Many Blessings to you and your family!
