Oh, I remember those days....in fact I hid the thing in the garage and the kids found it just the other day! LOL

Thank goodness, she put it away.

Oh Serena, I feel your pain! One year my classroom was across the hall from the music room. I thought the fourth graders would never perfect 'Hot Cross Buns'
It was torture!!

Could me worse..I have a clarinet here!!! I really tried to talk her out of playing an intrument!

I remember those recorder days:D
Trust me it gets better...my DS is in 8th grade now & his trumpet playing is quite good now.
For the first year of recorder you think your ears are gonna fall off if you hear Hot Cross Buns one more time.......
Then they bring home the real instrument:eek: For the entire first year of playing the trumpet it sounded like my DS was torturing a small moose in the basement;)
But now, amazingly...it sounds like music. :D
Hang in there........it'll get better:D :)

last year it was the recorder, this years its the trumpet, please dont anyone say drums

I remember playing a recorder in grade school way back when.
It's a right of passage for all children.:)

AND....I also played the clarinet, started in grade school and played all the way through high school.
Granted in the beginning all those wrong notes being played might feel like nails on a chalk board right now. But there is proof that most children involved in music while in school will also perform better in their classes.

My parents loved me!!

I played the recorder, with my nose and then moved on to the drums... DD is not there yet, but I know that my time will come
