I am playing around and trying to get use to a laptop

I never used one before...except for work occasionally. I am plugging along here practicing..I am very use to the big home/work PC's...But it sure is nice to have this as an option so all can share the main PC....and of course for when I travel, never like to be too far from home

Its a used pentium 2, a gift from a friend. It more then serves my needs, now I can sit in the chair, watch TV and post Its a wonderful thing

Well that is fun! I have a laptop at work that I usually leave "docked" - so I can use the big people keyboard and monitor!

The next step is a wireless router so you can network your machines. Nothing is neater than having all of your files from your main PC available on your laptop. Since it's wireless, the laptop can be used in any room or outside in the yard. If you happen to have a broadband connection it's even better. FYI, I'm typing this on my HP notebook while DW is surfing the net. With the broadband connection it's as if I'm the only one connected.

Glo I can try to drop Phil a note and suggest santa should think about it Ben too cool, they are starting the wireless thing at work and I know a few folks who use it at home and rave about it! We are broadband and right now dw is on main pc playing around, I still marvel at this tech stuff Thanks everyone, my fingers feel like big hotdogs on these keys LOL
