I am on the phone with CRO IN TEARS!!!

I am going to be sisk!

We leave tomorrow for a quickie before school starts back up. I sat down to print up my confirmation and.... the dates on it are WRONG! The dates are for last week. I KNOW I didn't mess it up, I've made 6 past and future reservations with CRO, I keep a detailed spreadsheet that I fill out while on the ph. I didn't mess this up!

And of course POP is fully booked tomorrow. And of course I lost my $120 deposit. The CRO girl was nice. She kept telling me the 5day policy and I kept telling her that I did not do this. She told me "I can book you into the POP as an overbook but I can't do anything else for you. What would you like for me to do? I don't have the authority to overturn a company policy." I asked her who COULD help me with the lost deposit deposit issue and I'm now on hold to talk to Guest Services. "Yo Ho Yo Ho".

I am sick to my stomach! ... more to come ...

SPeak with guest servies. Do you have ADRs or car rental paperwork that prove you planned on going tomorrow. What about DME reservations?

I am so sorry!!! Sending loads of Pixie Dust your way...let us know what happens....stand your ground...DO NOT take no for an answer! This is Disney and they need to provide their MAGIC!
 
I am so very sorry to hear this. This brings tears to my eyes knowing how upset you must feel. I really hope everything works out. :hug:
 
So "***" at guest services is going to TRY to help me BUT the refund dept is closed (5pm) so I won't know anything until tomorrow. She DID get me into Pop (they set rooms aside in case of overbook, or idiots like me). Anyway.. "***" will work tomorrow to see if he can get my deposit refunded... here's hoping!

Other then that, we're still going. I really don't want to eat $121. That in itself will make me sick! And hopefully "***" can find a resolution for me. She said he was really trying to help me. I have plans to spend LOTS (well a lot for me) of money at Disney this coming year (AKL Concierge for DDs 7th) so I hope they give me back my $$.

No ADRs. This is a quick and laid back trip. I didn't want to worry about making ADRs etc. No rental cars etc because we only live 90min away.

*deep breath* Thanks for the kind words. I hope they fix this.
 
just an idea...but you could say to them if you won't "refund" my money..how about giving me a Disney Gift Card for the amount that way they know the money will be spent on their property and not somewhere outside of the Disney Relm...just a thought? :confused3
 
Hi, If they cannot "REFUND" your deposit,how about a $121. CREDIT at POP?? This they CAN DO!! I would DEFINITELY tell them you have 3 more trips booked and you KNOW you did not mess up. We had a CREDIT put on our account at BCV last year when the FRONT desk kept us waiting 3 hours in the late PM for a pillow and blanket for the pullout sofa. I DID NOT ask for it, the girl at the front desk told me she was doing this when I called for the 3rd time and was in tears(I was VERY tired) and told her I would come down and get the items myself. She was SO NICE and it was such aTREAT to have breakfast the next morning compliments of BCV.(especially because I had missed a few hours of sleep!) HOPEFULLY one way or another you will get your $121!! Joan
 
I love the ideas of credits & disney dollars instead of a refund. I will mention this to *** tomorrow.

My 3 future trips are already booked so they can just apply the credit to those trips.
We have *9/30 4 nights at POR with my parents *10/25 2 nights at POP for MNSSHP and *4/5 2 nights at AKL-concierge for DDs 7th Bday AND I havent even planned a December trip to go to the Christmas party & see Osbourne lights. SO that'll be 4 trips.

SO thank you everyone for that idea, its a GREAT one! That why they still get the money in the end. And they keep a Disney Fanatic coming back happy.

We'll definetly still have a great time. I won't let it ruin the trip, it'll just ruin tonights sleep, that's all, waiting to talk to *** tomorrow. We ran over last week for a 1 day and were rained on ALL DAY long at AK, had a total blast. I think it was one of our best days at WDW. So it takes a lot to sour our spirits.

All you have to do is fax your orginial confirmation with the dates on it, to prove you were not wrong.

Just curious. Did you get anything from Disney for this reservation? I am kinda crazy about confirmations. They say they will give it to me in the mail (which I prefer) and then they send me an emai. I want the stuff sent to me in the mail. Email is great, but I want BOTH! Do you have a sign on the website that shows all your reservations? Just confused how you don't have anything from them. When did you book this? I am glad they got you into POP and have to say I am real jealous you can go so much!! You are a lucky girl! Disney would be smart to just give you a credit for the future trips!
 
I currently have 3 confirmation emails in my mail box. I have a folder called DISNEY and when I made this ressie (just 3 wks ago) I got the confirmation and just filed it away. I didn't even look at it until today - I know.. MY FAULT there.

I'm lucky to go so much. We just moved here in May and I'm in a financial situation where I CAN afford these quickies if we do a 1 day or a short stay at POP but I don't know if it will last, so we're doing it while we can. We only live 90 min away (as opposed to the 10 hrs we used to live) so that makes it that much easier too.

Anyway, Thanks for the kind words and no matter what I'll still be a WDW freak. We just got our APs I at least need to get the $ worth for those! I'm hoping for some pixie dust tomorrow, I've never had to ask for it before and I'm hoping they'll have some for me now.
