I am on the phone with CRO IN TEARS!!!

I think it's good pratice to reconfirm all your plans one week before a trip. I always do. You never know when there might be a glicth and something get lost or changed. Heck sometimes I even reconfirm my ADR's :)

I'm glad the OP was able to get a room. Now my fingers are crossed for the refund :)

Take Care

I just read this post and can't believe what has happened. You mentioned that you kept copies of everything and have them in your "Disney" file. So who went wrong with the dates? I know when I'm going away the dates are stuck in my head like glue so did CRO type the dates in wrong?

Since you have upcoming trips I can't see why they can't reapply your deposit to either one of those or your still going now and they can put it to that so don't worry.

Good luck and let us know how you make out today with Ben.:flower3:

$120 is a lot of money for some people. It may have taken her a long time to save that money. Just because it doesn't seem like a lot to you it clearly is a lot to her.

I agree Quinn222! I was upset seeing this post because 120.00 to me is a lot of money for NOTHING. I don't care if it was 50.00 bucks, it is the fact that a mistake cost me money. That kills me! Of course then I noticed that this poster was just posting to get people upset. You can usually tell because SHOEDOG only has three posts. It kinda sad they don't have a life!

OP-- Keep us informed of how it turned out!

If it was the posters fault then I don't think Disney should give her anything. We all make mistakes. If it was Disney's then yes they owe her her deposit. Why should we all pay for someone else's mistake? Because when Disney gives someone money they really don't owe them guess who is really paying, you and me!

I hope that Ben can help you today:thumbsup2 . This is a good reminder for all of us to check and double check our reservations.

Do you have an original confirmation with the correct dates? I am so sorry this happened to you. Hoping for the best!

Melissa

That's what I'm thinking too. I know for me, I re-read the confirmation a milliion times before we go

Hope everything works out. :)

I currently have 3 confirmation emails in my mail box. I have a folder called DISNEY and when I made this ressie (just 3 wks ago) I got the confirmation and just filed it away. I didn't even look at it until today - I know.. MY FAULT there.

I'm lucky to go so much. We just moved here in May and I'm in a financial situation where I CAN afford these quickies if we do a 1 day or a short stay at POP but I don't know if it will last, so we're doing it while we can. We only live 90 min away (as opposed to the 10 hrs we used to live) so that makes it that much easier too.

Anyway, Thanks for the kind words and no matter what I'll still be a WDW freak. We just got our APs I at least need to get the $ worth for those! I'm hoping for some pixie dust tomorrow, I've never had to ask for it before and I'm hoping they'll have some for me now.

I'm so sorry for this big mess. I did the same thing for our trip this summer, got the email confirmation and I kept it but I didn't read it very carefully. I checked the resort and dates but I didn't notice that it said "King Sico Room." About 3 days prior to our stay, I got another email confirmation (why I have no idea) from Disney...I then noticed the Sico thing. Tried to get out of it and get a regular room but there was nothing left at the passholder rate. Well, it turned out the sico room was just fine but I was really nervous until I saw it for myself. This has taught me to go over the confirmations with a fine tooth comb.

Have a great trip!!

What's a SICO room?:confused3

For our ALK trip in May, I checked the confirmation as soon as I got it and one section said we arrived the 9th while the other said the 10th. The 10th was correct. I called CRO 3 times and all 3 times the CM I spoke with said their screen said the 10th. Each time I called I asked for a new confirmation and each time, part of it still said I arrived on the 9th. I made sure to document each CM's name, the date and time I called them and took the paperwork with me to AKL. Luckily, all was fine on their end when we checked in, but it's scary to think that a confirmation could read one thing and their system could read another. Good luck to the OP!!!! Hope you have a great and uneventful trip!

pixiedust: For a great outcome. At least you'll have your vacation. I know how you feel, though. My computer,or theirs, :confused3 fouled up 2 years ago and booked me a trip in June instead of Oct 2005. I was in tears. I didn't get my money back on it, but they did get us a room for 4 nights. It took 2 hours and I was literally ill while it happened. Thing is I didn't know until I got there. You are so far ahead of the game than I was.

Last year, the CM that booked LTT for us on the night we attended MNSSHP got the ADR date wrong. I found out about it before we left, I tried every day to get an ADR for that night to no avail. Two days before we were to attend we stopped in to get mugs, I love the $5 souvenier, to take back. I spoke with the CM at the counter. She spoke with the GM and we were put on a wait list. We got to have our pre MNSSHP party fun.

Things could be worse, they could have not been able to find room for you at all. Relax, you are going to the Happiest Place on Earth. The funny thing is Disney knew we had an issue getting the AP discount that year too. So, we were treated like royalty. princess:

A room with a SICO bed which folds up into the wall.

Thanks Sammie, Never heard of that term before! Was that and EXTRA bed or did the main bed fold up in the wall? I understand they have something like that at Fort Wilderness. Is that where you stayed?

:badpc: Sorry to hear about the mix up. They must have a lot of computer problems at the Disney Hotels. I'm renting through a DVC owner and today the owner made the reservation for me and everything seemed hunky dory. I was so excited I felt like doing backflips. She said she was just awaiting a confirmation # from MS and they couldn't do it then because their computers were down. Well then she gets a call from them saying they can't book it because they can only book AKV 7 mos out ( I'm booking in June 2008) She owns at AKV so should be able to book at 11mos out!

The Beach Club has King Sico rooms. They only sleep two people and are a little smaller than the regular rooms.
