I am sorry it happened but it could have been MUCH worse. suppose you had booked an entire package and it was for last week. You would have lost the entire package price.

I am so sorry to hear that you were even for a night upset about a wonderful trip to Disney, just stay strong about getting something for the mistake that was not your fault, just as an FIY, when I stayed at all stars just 2 weeks ago I had issues with them charging my credit card correctly( i have already posted my frusteration on the board) and after being upset and embarrassed the guy at the front counter said these exact words to me and i quote" Mickey would not want you upset" and credited me $150.00 the last amount I charged in the gift shop, so they can do something for you! have a great time and let us know how the trip went and what they did for you.

No matter whos fault it is..............it aint worth getting sick over. I'm sure Disney will do the right thing if it is their fault. If it isnt their fault, then YOU do the right thing.

$120 is a lot of money for some people. It may have taken her a long time to save that money. Just because it doesn't seem like a lot to you it clearly is a lot to her.

I just wanted to mention that I made the same mistake last spring and booked the wrong date. I arrived at ASMovies to check in and they didn't have me in their system because the ressie was actually for the following day- my fault. No one at the front desk could help so I went quickly to the phones and called DRC. I had to pay a premium to move to ASSports for the one night but then began my stay at ASMovies on the day I'd actually made the ressie to arrive. Yes, it cost me a premium for my mistake but I'll never do it again! I'm still not sure if initially I said the wrong date with the res agent or she booked the wrong date...but now at least I"m more careful to always review my confirmations against my calendar to be sure they're correct. I know how the OP feels. I was humbled, humiliated, scared etc. but glad that there was a "room at the inn".---Kathy

I hope this thread causes a few people to check and double-check the dates on their confirmation emails right away. (But don't get compulsive!) I'm sure this will be in my mind when I finally do book our trip.

I remember going to Disney World in 2000, and buying my plane tickets online. Southwest's web site just said all I needed was a printout of my confirmation, and photo ids for myself, my husband, and my daughter with the new driver's license-the 2 younger girls didn't need any papers.

When we got to the airport, everyone else seemingly had big manila folders stuffed with all sorts of papers, tickets, etc. (Not really-it just seemed like it to my paranoid eyes!) We didn't have any of that of course. Everyone was lining up and spending what seemed like hours checking in for the flight...and there we were, with just a paper, the three of us clutching our driver's licenses with white knuckles, our 15-year old panicking because she has nothing, nothing at all! (the 4-year old was clueless!)

We said later how sick we were all feeling, thinking I had made a huge mistake. I read the paper frantically, again, thinking, this IS an actual receipt, isn't it? I know I've paid and we are booked! Why don't WE have any papers? Should they have mailed them to us? Oh, dear God! We have no tickets!! :sad1: :sad1:

When it was our turn at the desk, I was almost in tears. But all was well, we were just in the minority at that time, by buying our tickets online. It took all of about one minute to check in. :cool1: I even asked the clerk, why was everyone else taking so long to check in, when we just breezed through? Because we'd bought our tickets online, she said. At that time, very few people did.
 
I know I'm going to re check my conform letter. OP I hope you get somenice magic when you arrive. Enjoy your trip!

I agree, $120 is A LOT of money to our family. We dont have $120 that we would feel comfortable throwing away. I would be sick too if I had to lose this amount of money.

Heres hoping that *** gets all things straightened out for you. They should be able to give you that money back on another ressie you have or some sort of credit.
