I am not the University Of Toronto

Ever since I got my cell phone, once in a while I get calls saying hello is this the University Of Toronto? I swear I am not making that up. When I pick up sometimes they ask for a specific department, other times they realize it's not the number. Also 1 time I got a voicemail asking about a specific course. I am thinking did you not hear my voicemail message that say's "hi this is Jason's cell phone, please leave your name & number I will get back to, thank you for calling." Why they don't hear that & realize UOFT is not mentioned is something I will never get.

Maybe it's worth changing your cell#. We used to get calls every night from people asking if we were still open - they thought we were Dominion! Finally had to change our number and we haven't been annoyed since...

I don't know if I would go as far as changing my cell #. Like I said before it happens once every 6 months or something, so it's not like it happens everyday or week. If it does happen for often then maybe I would consider changing it.

Sometimes we're the Sony Store at Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener.

LOL! I had to change a phone number after 1 day when I moved 4 years ago because I had 9 messages in just over an hour for Sam the Record Man in Dufferin or Yorkville Mall - which had closed at least 6 months prior.

The boardroom conference call telephone at the TELUS office in Cambridge, Ontario has a phone number quite similar to a local Chinese restaurant. One employee has reputedly taken an order while in a meeting.
