I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

By the way, I accidentally clicked on your December TR while I was quoting (that's what happens when I try to answer the phone while DISsing), and we missed you by one day...we went home on the 8th.

.

Wow, and in Sept isn't it the same case (except with me going home early)! Maybe one day our dates will cross.

I've been a bad, bad DISer!
Sorry I have been AWOL but I've finally caught up
Haven't been to Kona Cafe for a long time, looks like you all had a really lovely dinner
Don't you just love evenings in the Magic Kingdom? :-)
Great hat photos!

The pictures of the girls on Main St. are so cute! I want to hold tink! :goodvibes I sure am glad that the rain stopped for y'all.

I have not ridden Dumbo in years. It looks so pretty at night. I suppose I will have to make a plan to ride it at night when we go in December.

I think all of you will stay for EMH. Just my guess :)

great updates. Luv the memory maker pics. I want that mrs. jumbo and Dumbo. :lovestruc

I haven't been to Kona for dinner in so long, I'd love to go there again! I'm always up for an excuse to go to the Poly! :cool1:

Love the pictures on Main Street!

I really have to ride Dumbo someday, I haven't since my first trip ever, when I was 7! It's such a cute area!

I think those are some of the best photopass shots I have ever seen. Lately the ones we have taken just don't seem as fun or as magical.....but those are worth the price right there!

Great MK photos of the girls!!! And Mark will regain his Hat Hero title....he is adorable as those girls! I LOVE ALL hat pics!!! :lovestruc

Hopefully one of these days our paths will cross. :)

Linda, please don't worry. These are some of the slowest months...everyone is busy and I totally understand.

Sorry I have been AWOL but I've finally caught up

I'm glad you are caught up.

We really did; I was quite impressed.

Absolutely nothing better.

Great hat photos!

Thank you!

Just ask if they have the magic shot!

There is no way I could miss riding Dumbo...especially when traveling with my hubby; it's his favorite Disney character. Can you tell?

Answer coming up.

Thanks, Emma. Those pics turned out really great.

I'm not sure you would now with all the massive construction. :(

Love the pictures on Main Street!

Thanks. :)

It's a great area...they did a great job with it.

Thank you, Jen. I have to agree...those photos were worth the cost of the MM.

Thanks, Jeanette. I'll tell Mark you said so.

We had just seen Ariel and the girls were very excited. But that excitement turned into tiredness for one of those girls. Any one want to take a guess which one? Well, here's the one that ended up staying with me for EMH's while the other went back to the resort with Mom.

Cayley was determined we were going to make it until 1 a.m. when the park closed. I gave Mary the key for our locker and she and Avery went and got the stuff and took the bus back to OKW while Cayley and I went to play.

After defeating Zurg once again, it was off to the Carrousel.

Cayley tried to get the sword out of the stone...but didn't quite have enough muscle (more veggies, Cayley):

From there, we stopped here as there was no line:

We then hit

And this is when the evening went to pot.

There was no line and it was a walk on and I was able to snap some pictures along the way as there wasn't any one behind us:

And then we stopped. We didn't move. 5 minutes. 10 minutes. 15 minutes. We kept listening to the spiel of this for the next 20 minutes

Finally after 35 minutes, they turned the sound off and we sat. And we sat some more. One hour later, they finally came and pushed out boat back to the previous room to evacuate us.

By this time, Cayley and I were both falling asleep in our boat. We were determined to still do one more ride which we had a Fastpass for that they said they would accept since the ride had died on us.

Can you see how disgusted a certain child was?

As we exited and walked through the "backstage" we were given fastpasses good for a week (we ended up giving them to our friends who were joining us on Friday).

We made our way here:

and had the wildest ride in the west.

Continued in next post

We were toast. Both Cayley and I knew it. She wanted to try to go a little longer, but I was afraid she'd fall asleep walking and there was no way I was carrying her. I told her we had done great and lasted longer than I thought we would to begin with. She agreed and we headed towards the front of the park. But we stopped for a few pictures on the way out:

We saw that there was no line for Tinker Bell and thought this would be a perfect end to our night.

Waiting our turn

Then Tink insisted I get in on the action (I felt like the Jolly Green Giant :lmao::lmao::lmao:)

Sorry the Tink pics are out of order but I'm too lazy to go back and fix them.

The evening didn't end quite as we had hoped for, but Cayley and I had a lot of fun together and I would do it again with her in a heartbeat.

We walked to the bus stop and there was only one family in line. Once we joined them, the line filled up fast behind us but a bus came right away. I had Cayley sit on my lap so and older woman could sit next to us. She started to nod off toward the end of the ride back to OKW, but she did great getting up and walking to our room.

We quietly walked in, changed into our jammies and hit the sack. We had a long day coming up again the next day.

Up next, we do sleep in a bit and start our morning off at the resort

Hahaha, no surprise that it was Cayley that stayed with you during EMH. That girl is a trooper! I don't even make it that long. :rotfl2:

Oh man, that stinks! Having worked in a theme park before, believe me, the red tape that goes around evacuation is just insane.

I always feel like a giant around the little characters too! They barely come up to my shoulder!

It looks like the two of you had an amazing evening! EXCEPT for that hour long boat ride. OMG! That would have had me a bit on edge to be honest. I am glad you were able to still fit some more in that evening. The interaction with Tinkerbelle looked like it was really good! What a special time for you and Cayley. :goodvibes

Aw, you and Cayley were having so much fun until the never-ending POTC!!

Good that you got to see Tinkerbell at the end. Cute pics! I was :lmao: at your Green Giant comment! You are a lot taller!!

That's too bad PoTC broke down. Cayley's "disgusted" look brings out her beautiful blue eyes.

Awww, those photos of you two on Main Street are just precious! Good for her for hanging in there! Got to make the most of the day.

Looks like you had a great meet with Tink. So tiny, she wasn't much bigger than Cayley!

I cannot believe they left you on that boat for an hour. I would of been mad. I know Melody would of lost her mind.

Those pictures with Tink are adorable.

Cayley is no joke. She is hardcore! :rotfl2:

What a pro she is, very impressive!!!! I've been stuck for an hour before but never that late at night. Adorable pics and despite the breakdown, what a special night for both of you.

Way to go Cayley :earseek::donald: <-----courtesy of my 6yo, who is snuggling on the couch with me reading along. :thumbsup2

What a fun night for the two of you, minus getting stuck on pirates :sad2:

Great interactions with Tink! We had fun with Tink a couple years ago, but now that my little one is 6 he says no more princess or fairy meets. :(

Sounds like a fun night.

I wouldn't mind getting stuck in POC but not there and not for an hour. I have been stuck at that spot for 10 minutes or so. I figure if I get stuck in a dark ride at a good spot I can finally get some good dark ride pictures.

It looks like you had quite a fun night, except for the POTC. I once got stuck on ToT during EMH with my mom right at the stroke of midnight. It was very weird and we were there in pitch black for about 30-45 minutes. I think the endless loop of POTC music would've been worse! I'm glad y'all were still able to get another ride in. BTMR is the best at night!

wow I can't believe I was 5 pages behind... all caught up now.

I can not believe they left you on the ride for an hour. Crazy, I would not be a happy camper. Other then that you guys look like you had a great night together!
