I Am NOT a Bad, Bad Baby -- TR final updates 9/12

Sadly, when I go in Aug, I am only going to the Villains party and won't be at any of the other Disney parks. I wish I could, but this is really supposed to be a work trip and I am already pushing its limits. :rotfl2:

So happy you were able to meet up with Lisa and family. Hunter cracks me up....and it was so nice of him to go ride with the girls. I am sure he kept them quite entertained!

Lunch looks so delicious!

Great animal pictures, especially the many giraffe ones! I was thinking of you when George and I were at Six Flags NJ over the weekend on their safari ride. A giraffe came right up and stood next to the vehicle right next to George, maybe a foot away. I took some pictures just for you. I'll post them on Facebook and tag you :thumbsup2:rotfl:

So jealous you got to meet Lisa, John and Hunter. We just didn't get a chance despite being at the same resort for a couple days before you arrived. Love Hunter's selfie, and it was very sweet of him to ride Primeval Whirl with the girls.

Your Yak and Yeti pics are great, both of the food and view!

I was so happy I didn't have to do it! I should have offered Hunter a treat or something as a thank you. I LOVE Dinosaur and usually do it myself. Your DH is a saint to take her on the Hurl ride. We really enjoy the food at Y&Y; but we are missing Flame Tree so we will be eating there in September.

:rotfl2: Primeval Hurl :rotfl2: I can't wait to hit AK!!! We are going with fellow DISfamily so he will be with a fellow Daddy as well :flower3:

We had just met Lisa, John and Hunter and got caught up. The girls were really wanting to do a ride that Miss Kathy just can't do...especially after almost losing my lunch last year. So they sweetly asked Hunter and he agreed to do it with them.

Wow, Hunter really took one for the team there!

This is a favorite of ours; we ate there in December and had to come back on the girls trip.

I've always been afraid to try it, just because the word "yak" doesn't go with a restaurant in my mind. But the dishes look awfully yummy.

Yum!! We ended up not eating at Yak & Yeti after booking the ADR and canceling it at least 5 times, but the food looks so good!!

I hope you had a wonderful 4th!

All caught up again. We have had family here from out of town for back to back weeks so it has been a little crazy around here.

The girls make up sessions turned out great and so awesome that they got the next day out of it as well!!!

Your AK day looked like tons of fun. You had a great safari with front facing animals!!!

:yay::cool1::cheer2: for your Dismeet!!! Would love to meet Lisa in person. I love having her as a FB friend. It is fun to keep up with all of her at home adventures as well.

So great of Hunter to ride Primevil Hurl in your place. I will never (not Ever) do that ride again!! :rotfl:

Your lunch at Y&Y looks really wonderful, and as I have said before, not one I have ever tried before. Really need to put that one on the list. We usually end up at Flametree or Pizzafari for lunch here.

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July after Mark finished his games.

MSI extended their Walt Disney Treasures into August. Maybe we could have a meet again. I could spend hours in the Animation area drawing characters. :rolleyes1

Hi Kathy :wave2:

Love the pics with Elsa and Anna...sounds like you had a great meet and greet!

Lovely makeovers...the girls look adorable :cutie:

Yay safari pics! I think I saw some on Facebook bit it's nice to see them again.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: we were posting at the same time (new update with what Hunter did is up).

Yes, you are right. That is John in the glasses. I was disappointed that we didn't get a group shot, but he is in the "spotlight" there. Her trip reports are always good for a good chuckle.

We did well with the animals. I was amazed how well Avery's stayed.

Haha I have done the double post with Ann a couple times! Great minds I like to say!

Glad I caught John in the glasses! Kinda suits their family well though don't ya think? They are so funny!

Go Hunter for taking in Prim-EVIL Whirl! Nice to have him there to entertain the girls on a ride no one else likes! Glad you all got some grown-up time to chat!

Looking forward to your next update!

Finally getting myself all good and caught up!

OKW looks so lovely! I feel like I hear very little about it here on the boards so it's neat to see some photos of it!

I love the balloon tradition for your Dad. So Sweet!

The girls make overs are so adorable! Excited to see whats up next!

Whew! I feel like I just ran a marathon but I am FINALLY caught up!! I'm loving reading about your trip so far. It looks like y'all had so much fun!

You said you didn't know where Bristol, TN is. It's right on the TN-VA line. There is actually a Bristol, TN and a Bristol, VA. My DHs family is from there. We had a great time and the car ride was a great time to catch up on Disboards stuff.

I have one very important question after reading this TR...what is a Turtle Krawl?! They look delicious and I can't believe I've never heard of one as I am an avid fruity drink girl! Is it something that is Disney or OKW specific? I feel like I'm totally out of the loop and that everyone else seems to know exactly what they are.

Can't wait to read more!

I wrote a whole post several days ago, know I previewed it, but it's just flat out not here. So here I go again!

I'm so sorry that happened. And what a trooper you are to start all over again.

I know there have been some other updates since then but just wanted to let you know I am thinking of all of you during all of this. Too much at once.

Any update on the attorney front? He needs to just regroup and get all of it out of his head. That kind of situation, going on for that long, really does a number on you. In the long run it will be a major blessing I know but it's awfully hard now.

Thanks...appreciate it. We hope to hear something soon on the severance (they have until the 16th to respond to us).

I am glad that 1) you won't go homeless and 2) no trips being cut. One is obviously more important but the second is what keeps us all sane!

We've cut back on a few things and Andy has taken over paying his school loans. I only agreed that he could do it until September when he moves in with Des.

That is absolutely hysterical. One of those moments in time no one will ever forget and she will be teased about for the rest of her life. I love it!

It truly was; we had so much fun with it.

YAY for Lisa and Hunter (and John's reflection).

What wonderful people!

I know I'm still an update behind but getting there, slowly! Loving all of it, the girls makeovers, safari, turtle krawls....:goodvibes good stuff

No worries...I certainly understand. Turtle Krawls...if it weren't for my current upset stomach I could really go for one of those.

Cleaning is over rated.. just saying.

I tend to agree with you. I did finally get it done on Sunday...the entire house; I had no choice as my father-in-law is coming to stay with us starting Thursday for 11 days.

Glad you Es-CAP-ed the evil hurl.. :crazy2:

You and me both; just thinking about it makes me want to hurl.

The food Looks DELICIOUS!!! Hope your family is doing alright. always thinking of you!!!

It was very yummy. We are doing great. Andy is a tad upset right now as all of Garth Brooks concerts in Dublin, Ireland, have been cancelled and that was the purpose for picking Ireland for their summer trip.

How was your 4th?!?! have all your fingers and toes??

It was quiet...well until the fireworks at night. Mark had two games during the day; Andy and I sat out on the patio for a few hours and I baked chicken for Mark for dinner and then we sat with our neighbors on our patio and watched the village fireworks. How was yours?

That was very sweet of Hunter to ride with the girls! I'm with you on that ride - no thank you.

Seriously...definitely a no go and I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Yak & Yeti is one of my favorites, I've never had a bad meal there. :thumbsup2 My mom and I went last February and got the warm saki, it was different but very good!

Hmmm...warm saki; that sounds interesting and I'll have to give it a try.

Sadly, when I go in Aug, I am only going to the Villains party and won't be at any of the other Disney parks. I wish I could, but this is really supposed to be a work trip and I am already pushing its limits. :rotfl2:

Too bad, but I understand what you are saying.

So happy you were able to meet up with Lisa and family. Hunter cracks me up....and it was so nice of him to go ride with the girls. I am sure he kept them quite entertained!

I would have loved to have been a fly in the vehicle as I am sure Hunter was telling great jokes.

Lunch looks so delicious!

It really was.

Six Flags ahs a safari ride? I never knew that. I would love for you to tag me for the photos.

So jealous you got to meet Lisa, John and Hunter. We just didn't get a chance despite being at the same resort for a couple days before you arrived. Love Hunter's selfie, and it was very sweet of him to ride Primeval Whirl with the girls.

That is too bad that you never got to meet Lisa, John and Hunter. He is a great kid.

Your Yak and Yeti pics are great, both of the food and view!

Thanks, Stephanie.

:rotfl2: Primeval Hurl :rotfl2: I can't wait to hit AK!!! We are going with fellow DISfamily so he will be with a fellow Daddy as well :flower3:

Well...that's what it makes me want to do. ;)
Oh you'll have a lot of fun with a fellow DISfamily.

Wow, Hunter really took one for the team there!

He sure did. :thumbsup2

I've always been afraid to try it, just because the word "yak" doesn't go with a restaurant in my mind. But the dishes look awfully yummy.

Yes the name could certainly throw you, but it is really good.

Yum!! We ended up not eating at Yak & Yeti after booking the ADR and canceling it at least 5 times, but the food looks so good!!

Hopefully you could put it back on the list for the next trip. It really is good.

I hope you had a wonderful 4th!

It was quiet...which was a blessing.

All caught up again. We have had family here from out of town for back to back weeks so it has been a little crazy around here.

Always fun to have family visit...at least for a short time.

The girls make up sessions turned out great and so awesome that they got the next day out of it as well!!!

I'm glad they held up for a day or two.

Your AK day looked like tons of fun. You had a great safari with front facing animals!!!

We did; we also had our fair share of rear end facing ones...I just avoided posting most of those pictures. :lmao:

:yay::cool1::cheer2: for your Dismeet!!! Would love to meet Lisa in person. I love having her as a FB friend. It is fun to keep up with all of her at home adventures as well.

She is a hoot and she tells it like it is.

So great of Hunter to ride Primevil Hurl in your place. I will never (not Ever) do that ride again!! :rotfl:

I'm with you....never again...not even for future grandchildren.

Your lunch at Y&Y looks really wonderful, and as I have said before, not one I have ever tried before. Really need to put that one on the list. We usually end up at Flametree or Pizzafari for lunch here.

We like to alternate with Flametree (I'm not a Pizzafari fan but then I don't like any Disney pizza).

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July after Mark finished his games.

A nice quiet dinner and a relaxing night on the patio. Hope you had a good 4th.

MSI extended their Walt Disney Treasures into August. Maybe we could have a meet again. I could spend hours in the Animation area drawing characters. :rolleyes1

Unfortunately, Mark is booked every weekend through the end of July and I have my father-in-law here for the next two weeks. Then we are off to Vegas for four days. I'm totally bummed that I am going to miss it and totally bummed that I can't take you up on your offer. (:

Hi Kathy :wave2:

Hi, my friend. How are you? Did you end up having enough coffee today (I saw your post on FB)?

Love the pics with Elsa and Anna...sounds like you had a great meet and greet!

Thank you; we really did...they were a lot of fun. I'm sorry they separated them now.

Lovely makeovers...the girls look adorable :cutie:

I thought so too.

Yay safari pics! I think I saw some on Facebook bit it's nice to see them again.

Thanks; I'm glad you enjoyed them.

Haha I have done the double post with Ann a couple times! Great minds I like to say!

I like your way of thinking.

Glad I caught John in the glasses! Kinda suits their family well though don't ya think? They are so funny!

Absolutely suits their family. They are a riot.

Go Hunter for taking in Prim-EVIL Whirl! Nice to have him there to entertain the girls on a ride no one else likes! Glad you all got some grown-up time to chat!

It was such a relief not to have to do it with the girls. It was fun just talking with adults for a bit.

Looking forward to your next update!

Hopefully soon.

Kathy I found your TR and am all caught up! Subbing :)

Jessica, glad to have you here. Thanks for joining. :goodvibes

Finally getting myself all good and caught up!

:cheer2: Maddie...glad you are caught up.

OKW looks so lovely! I feel like I hear very little about it here on the boards so it's neat to see some photos of it!

It's the first DVC and the largest. We love it there because it is so peaceful and beautiful.

I love the balloon tradition for your Dad. So Sweet!

Thank you. :)

The girls make overs are so adorable! Excited to see whats up next!

Thanks...they really both had wonderful CM's work on them.

Whew! I feel like I just ran a marathon but I am FINALLY caught up!! I'm loving reading about your trip so far. It looks like y'all had so much fun!

Ashley, glad you made it back. We had a blast.

You said you didn't know where Bristol, TN is. It's right on the TN-VA line. There is actually a Bristol, TN and a Bristol, VA. My DHs family is from there. We had a great time and the car ride was a great time to catch up on Disboards stuff.

Thanks for letting me know. I'd heard of Bristol, VA, but never Bristol, TN.

A Turtle Krawl is a drink only available at the Gurgling Suitcase at Old Key West. Hopefully, MEK or eandesmom will see your question and post the receipt (I can't seem to find it right now). I am hooked on them.

Can't wait to read more!

Thank you. :)

oh NO!!! I cannot believe Garth Brooks is changing his dates! WHAT'S THAT ABOUT!!! Will they change their vacation destination now? I'd still pick Ireland over A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G out side the U.S.A.

Glad you had some Andy time out on the patio too.. :thumbsup2

Just caught up on your adventures ;)

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Thanks for checking in new mommy. How is that new little Prince doing?

oh NO!!! I cannot believe Garth Brooks is changing his dates! WHAT'S THAT ABOUT!!! Will they change their vacation destination now? I'd still pick Ireland over A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G out side the U.S.A.

Oh Andy is NOT a happy camper right now. Ireland screwed it all up. And Garth told them all five or nothing...and I don't blame him. They are supposed to still try to fix it, but I don't see it happening. There are a lot of irate people in Ireland...they are going to lose LOTS of money with the cancellation for restaurants, hotels, etc. Andy said last night they probably would have gone to Italy if it wasn't for Garth; but they are still going to Ireland.

Glad you had some Andy time out on the patio too.. :thumbsup2

It was nice having some quality time with my oldest son. Although he lives with us, we rarely see him. And now he'll be moving out in 40 days. :(
