So I finally got around to watching this movie. Holy cow! Talk about intense! I had to run out to the store a bit ago and I was nervous going out. I'm so glad I didn't end up seeing it in the theater like I wanted to. Sitting in my lit up living room with my surround sound was bad enough. :rotfl:

Yep. I saw it too, and had Nightmares that night.;) It was sad about his Dog, but the ending was good.:thumbsup2

Yeah, I'm glad I watched it in the daylight!

And a friend warned me when there was one scene that I wouldn't be able to handle. I turned away and waited for it to be over.

Interesting movie though. I love Will Smith.

the dog part made me sooooo sad:sad1:

If its the one I'm thinking of that's when I went and put the pizza in the oven. Too sad for me.

Lol -- and here I thought you were making a personal statement. :)

I haven't seen the movie yet. I don't know if I could

The scene with the dog... I didn't want to say too much in case it would spoil it for others!

Luckily, my friends know me well enough to know that I wouldn't be able to watch it!!

Yeah...that movie was INTENSE!

It was just fair for me. I wanted to like it much more.:confused3

I'm an absolute chicken, and as soon as I got an inkling about the dog, I whispered to my father, "If the dog dies, I'm walking out." I ended up walking out before I had a chance to see if the dog died or not- I couldn't take it! I went online and looked up spoilers for the movie so I would know exactly what happened and then went and saw it again. I always have to see scary movies twice- once to hide my eyes, and the other to actually watch it once I know it's okay. ;)

If you think the movie is intense, read the novella it's based on, now THAT'S a downer! Those postapocalyptic (sp?) stories never seem to end well!

What was it based on. I remember watching Omega Man many many years ago. I'll still watch it too on occasion.

I thought it was a great movie, but being a gsd lover, it was hard to watch that scene.

Same here. I was actually expecting the movie to be more intense based on reviews. It was okay but pretty overrated IMO. I could take it or leave it I guess.

And, honestly, what happened to his wife and kid bothered me way more than the dog scene.

I thought it was pretty ridiculous that they still called it "I Am Legend" when they changed the entire ending from the book. (Which was written way back in 1956 by Richard Matheson.)
