I am laughing so hard tonight at DH...related to DD getting her temps

DD is able to get her temps this week...as our family embarks on one of those "our kid is old enough to learn how to drive" milestones.

DH is somewhat reminiscing about DD, when she was little. He has found EVERY picture that we ever took where DD was doing something with toys with WHEELS. In addition - the one that he was "really" looking for was DD standing in the front seat of an uncle's truck - pretending to drive. It is a hilarious picture.

DH has determined that DD is just "heck on wheels" and probably shouldn't be starting to learn how to drive.

The pics are her in her Little Tykes car, on various fisher price toys, on the Simplicity tractor etc.

I would post some of these, but this was LONG before we owned a digital camera.

Personally...I think DH is "feeling old" all of a sudden.

We have a picture of our DD when she is about 2 1/2 trying to open my sister's car with some of those big plastic keys on a teething ring. I think I will pull that out when she gets her permit too. Our twins take driver's ed staring in March (3rd trimester in school). They will be able to get their permits sometime in April

OP here...a Temps is the "slang" for instructional permit. It is the one you need for 6 months before a teen can take their driver's road test.

LOL-ok, makes sense now...I was wondering what getting temps had to do with driving! The only "temps" that I know are the things they put in your mouth in between taking dental impressions and getting a new crown in your mouth !

It must be a regional saying...like Pop for soda
