I am coining the term... DVC Slots!

I may be that guy everyone in the casino glares at and throws up their arms in frustration at...the guy that never plays the slots, just happens to walk by and decides to throw in a coin and give it a pull, and hits the jackpot on the first roll.

For my trip last week, I had booked my home resort around 6 months out, no real planning - found a Boardwalk view 1-bedroom available, so I snagged it - and as usual, I put in a request for some specific room numbers I like. When I checked in early at 12:30pm on Friday, Sep 19, they said my room was ready, and it was one of the room numbers I requested - 2nd floor (lobby level), Boardwalk view, massive covered balcony. All fell perfectly into place!

Even better, I cleaned up on the Transportation Craps game game this trip. First day, was going to walk over to DHS, but the boat was just pulling into Swan and Dolphin, so I walked over there to hop on, then walked back.
Saturday headed to MK, I decided to walk to DHS to try to catch an MK resort area bus as I like entering MK by boat - as I was walking up towards DHS, I see the Wilderness Lodge bus sitting there with its door open - the bus stop is right next to the Boardwalk path, several hundred yards before the DHS entrance - so that was unbelievably lucky. Walked through Wilderness to the boat dock and the boat was already boarding - hopped right on! Walked over to Steakhouse 71 for dinner after, then walked back to the MK bus stop and my Boardwalk bus was sitting right there, ready to board!
No busses needed Sunday as it was Epcot day. Monday I headed to the Boardwalk bus stop to get to AK and guess what bus had just pulled up? Yep - AK! Leaving AK, right at closing, the bus stops were pretty crowded and I saw the Boardwalk bus leaving before I got there - but as I approached I noticed the Beach/Yacht bus was sitting there with the door open and no line - so I hopped on before the door closed and took right off. I walked through the Yacht lobby and found the boat from DHS was just pulling up to the dock, so hopped on for a quick ride back to Boardwalk. Longest wait for any transportation the entire 4 day trip was 0!

You probably should have bought a lottery ticket that day.

I need the slots to work their magic for me for my February trip! Currently booked into a CCV 1bdr, which is fine (it’s home and we love it there) but we would like to try Riviera out for this one. Waitlists are in and quasi-obsessive stalking has begun 😁

Goodluck! I have a good feeling you will get it :)

Slots have been good to me lately! Started with snagging a 1bed CCV in early Dec, I then switched it out to a BRV studio. 💥 Added on a resort view studio at RIV and added a night in a resort view 1 bed at the Boardwalk in January. Luck has been in my side for sure!

I have two nights at grand cal in December in a one bedroom and Ive been stalking for a studio to save some points.

I had one night at a studio and I dropped it to try to book it on a different membership that has december uy knowing full well it could get gobbled up and it sure did 🤣🤣

Oh well I prefer to bank the points in case another night doesnt pop up for studio. I still have never been able to snag an October studio *** since when did October be the most popular month, I remember when DL used to be empty in October back in the Mickeys Halloween Party days, im old haha
