I am being so decadent!

It's so c-c-c-cold out. I can't even think about drinking a glass of cold water, but I was thirsty for something, so I brewed a small pot of coffee and made myself a "Nutty Irishman" drink.

We received bottles of Bailey's and DiSaronno as Christmas gifts. Reddi-Whip is in the fridge for pudding and pie. I put a half shot each of the Irish cream and amaretto into the bottom of a tall mug, filled it with coffee, and topped it with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

I almost never drink alcohol during the day, but DS is away with his cousin snowboarding this weekend. DH is working. I am alone with Max and really need to vacuum (for the fifth time this week) and change the bed linens.

Yet, here I am, on my second cup of Nutty Irishman. And I'm Dising too. Ah! This is not how I normally live, but hey--I did work hard this week. With last night's full moon, boy, did I have a day on the phone with parents yesterday. We had to bid on some new bus routes, and that made for a bunch of unhappy people to handle. I can justify it even more by saying the drinks didn't cost me the $6 to $8+ each that they would at a restaurant.

My FIL used to order nutty irishmen at restaurants all the time and I showed him how to make them one day at home, now he has one just about every Friday night Enjoy it!

I did a little during Christmas vacation. That was one nice, relaxing week. Plus, it was a big bonus that I cleaned like crazy for my Christmas Eve party so I didn't have to feel guilty (like I do now) about not doing much housework.

No alcohol as part of the baby making plan so have to compensate somewhere else and I'm working it off painting my kitchen today so I don't even feel that guilty

It's certainly not cold here but I'm stuck at work (it will top 80 hours this week for me) so a Nutty Irishman sounds pretty good to me.

And that housework will still be there. I say have a 3rd one and skip the housework altogether.

If my mother were alive, she'd hit me with something. You could eat off her floors they were so clean, and that was even with a bunch of kids and pets. Then again, she never worked full time outside the home.
