I just have to tell someone:goodvibes

I have been watching the DVC since 2001 and keep changing my mind about it. On 12-10 I was checking a resale site and there it was 175 points at BCV with points from 2007 plus all points from 2008 coming in March. 89$ a point. It was a sign so I called and since there was two other people interested I offered asking price and got it. Now we are waiting to see If Disney is going to POFR. Wish me luck..

here's some pixie dust for you. pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:
the most important thing for you now is patience. the resale process seems to drag on forever, but it's often worth the wait. :rolleyes1

We are waiting as well. Our stuff was just sent on Thursday. Good luck to you!

Can't wait to take our first trip as DVC members!!!! We're so excited. Disney acted very fast. It was just a little over a week for us. Good luck to you all.

How does disney let you know whether you've passed ROFR...a letter??
We're supposed to close in January and haven't gotten any word yet...getting kind of nervous!!

from what I understand the sales person will give you a call or email you as soon as they get the information from Disney.

We went through the Timeshare Store and we received an email confirming that Disney waived the ROFR.

We just closed on a resale through GMAC. The ROFR part went very quickly, about a week or 10 days. GMAC emailed us when it passed. The estoppel thing took the most time. The whole process from start to finish (Halloween to just after Christmas) was 2 months. I already had my guide assigned from earlier DVC inquiries, so he emailed me three days after GMAC said I was done. I called MS and got my member number and entered the activation code my guide had sent me and voila! I'm in. I thought the whole thing was pretty painless, but then I'm not making any reservations any time soon.
Best of luck!

I passed. I called the agent after I saw people were passing and she told me then. They were able to bank 150 points from 2007. That is over 300 points for my daughters 16th bday. Good luck to every one else.
