Does anyone know of a nice motel, area in southern Tennessee off I 75 to stop and stay the night. We will be stopping in the area before heading to Disney and need suggestions.

About 3 years ago, we stayed at a Quality Suites Hotel on Shallowford Road (exit 5) in Chattanooga. This exit has the Hamilton Place Mall, lots of food and lodging. Our room rate was in the neighborhood of $75 a night.

Chattanooga is a very nice area. My suggestion (and what we just did in June) is to pick up the hotel coupon books at the Tennessee Welcome Center/Rest Area and then find your best rate/favorite hotel in their. This seems to be what I have found to give you the best rates. Be aware that some aren't available on weekends or have different prices listed for Fri and/or Sat, but still usually a better deal than rack rate from the hotel.

If you're looking for another great resource for moderately priced hotels in addition to one of those coupon books (also available at Denny's and/or IHOP), check out http://www.wyndhamrewards.com for a slew of places to spend the night before continuing to WDW; many of them offer discounts for Auto Club members, as well as a free continental breakfast, for no more than $55.00-$70.00 per night.

You didn't say what day of the week or time of day you'd be leaving Michigan, but if you can make it to any of the communities south of Atlanta's airport (Jonesboro, Stockbridge, etc.) which are some 2 to 2 1/4 hours south of Chattanooga, you'd be less likely to have to worry about having to slog through an Atlanta traffic jam (or construction) when you wake up in the morning.

Have a great time!!!

We will be leaving about 5 am Friday morning. I hope to be in southern tennesse by 3 or 4 pm. Thank you so much for your suggestions. I have tried Hotels.com to find a nice, clean place but that website can scare you to death. :scared1: It is like most things only very un happy people take the time to post reviews.
